this is a great mixer very powerful and easy to use . Having shopped for several different brands decided to go with the Cuisinart 5.5 stand mixer because of the power and speeds has a bigger bowl and a cover that is standard with this model .The Kitchenaid mixers that are rated the same as this one are a lot more money and have less warranty so this is the best bang for the buck

I researched before purchasing my stand mixer and everything I read about the Cuisinart Stand Mixer was true. I have used it to make my pizza and pastry dough so far and it has worked beautifully. I am very happy I purchased a Cuisinart.

I've made 3 batches of cookie dough and a batch of bread dough with this mixer. I liked the performance for the bread dough, but the cookie dough not so much. Instead of "Fluffing" the butter and sugars, it just kind of slapped it to the bottom and sides of the bowl, requiring frequent stops to scrape. Even then I never got the nice fluffy yellow consistency I was looking for. I've used my parent's "well known brand " stand mixer with much better results. I gave it 3 stars because it did do ok for the bread dough.
