I have had this mixer for about 5 months. Before having it I mixed everything by hand. With the mixer my arms are way less tired and I can follow recipes that use stand mixers, but my frustration is the mixing tool doesn't catch the bottom so I still have to scrape the sides and push the food from the bottom. Some times my dough has come out less uniform than intended. I wish it's mixing diameter was slightly larger and the attachments were slightly longer to help with this issue.

I LOVE Cuisinart products-have several in my home. This is a very sturdy mixer, but I'm really not happy with it. The beater does not come close to the edges and bottom of the bowl leaving a lot of ingredients unmixed on the sides and bottom. Does better with whipping egg whites, but there was a bit of unwhipped on bottom of bowl. Very surprised Cuisinart doesn't have a rubber edged beater that scrapes the sides and bottom like Kitchen-Aid. Way too much starting, stopping, scraping. Took the fun out of baking cakes. For one of my cakes, just took off the bowl and pulled out my hand mixer. Was faster and better mix. Couldn't return it, because I had to use it to find this out. I'm very surprised there isn't more about this in the reviews. Huge let down.

I bought this machine to replace my old Kitchen aide stand mixer. I chose it because of the motor size and overall sleekness of the machine. I have not been disappointed at all. I make quite a bit of sourdough bread and needed something that could handle the large amount of flour. This machine hasn't bogged down at all which the kitchen aide did so it has worked very well for my needs.

This was the first stand mixer I have ever used and based on some of the more critical reviews, I was a little apprehensive in making this purchase. So far, I've used it to make cakes, scones and various types of bread and am very happy with the results! The mixer has plenty of power, and did not need to scrape the bowl when I used the paddle attachment. There was an initial mechanical odor, but that is subsiding the more I use it. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and am looking forward to using it more and more in the next month with holiday baking.

I bought this for my mother as a Christmas gift,since I read so many great reviews but the very first time she used it it broke it wouldn’t stir and it just stopped working . It was even a lot of batter. I’ll be contacting the customer service for the warranty so hopefully they can help. I’ll update later on with what happens.

I returned this item. Poorly made. When I turned it on for the first time I could hear the gears grinding. I contacted Cuisinart customer service to ask if this was normal. It took almost a week to hear from them and then the solution was to try using a different plug. Really? Since I mostly bake bread I didn't feel this product would stand up to the use. Very disappointed. I expected much more from a top name company.

The Cuisinart Precision Master 5.5 Quart Stand Mixer is my first Stand Mixer. I began cooking and baking when I was 12 years old using a hand mixer and am now 75 years old. Oh my, what a wonderful machine I have purchased for myself. I love the ease of using this Cusinart. Easy to use, runs smoothly and quietly and so easy to clean. . .it's perfect in every way. I have also purchased the Pasta Extruder and the Cuisinart PRS-50 Pasta Roller & Cutter Attachment for this machine. What a marvelous, time saving and most enjoyable machine to have. I highly recommend this wonderful Cuisinart Precision Master 5.5 Quart Stand Mixer.

Having owned for many years a mixer from its major competitor, I had some qualms about purchasing this unit-my concerns disappeared after using it- it is powerful, it is easy to operate,and the paddle is made from metal which solves the problem of the rubberized coating chipping off as occurred when I used the competitor’ s machine
