The power is low . Having to stop and scrape the bottom and sides is time consuming. The bowl isn’t big enough to scape the side as it’s moving it’s easier to use a hand mixer for better mixing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I make all my own bread and, while my old West Bend stand mixer had been very reliable, it just couldn't handle heavy bread dough. This mixer has all the bells and whistles of the more expensive one plus a stronger motor and 2 extra speeds. It was a no brainer and my bread is better than ever!

This is my first stand mixer. I haven't owned it long but have used it 3 or 4 times. It's quite and smooth. The motor seems plenty powerful.

This mixer is fabulous. It works great, is Not loud, wonderful speed settings. I have not had any problems with it missing ingredients on the bottom, etc as mentioned in reviews before I purchased mine. I’ve never had one before & I love this one! I bake a lot!!

My 22 year old Cuisinart 5.5 qt stand mixer finally died. I tried several other mixers and eventually decided to replace my mixer with the same model that served me so well for so many years. I bake a lot of bread and needed a machine that could handle it. I love this machine. It is a bit noisy when kneading bread dough for two loaves, but that's not a problem for me. Highly recommend this stand mixer.

Don’t over mix because this mixer is powerful. I love my mixer but be careful not walk off and leave it mixing . It does a great job and I only buy Cuisinart. They are well built products and they last ..
