Paddle does not reach the bottom of the bowl. If you are mixing large quantities it works well be if you are trying to whip icing or egg whites you will just have everything squished to the bottom of the bowl and it won’t be mixed, you’ll have to scrape the bowl about every minute. I reached out to customer support and they said there is nothing that can be done about this.

Had a Hamilton Beach stand mixer but it was heavy to move from cabinet to counter. The Precision Master is much lighter. Like the speed control better too. Recommend this to anyone who bakes a lot.

I just wish the paddle attachment had a little rubber on the side to scrape the bowl and for it to go all the way down to the bottom and not almost a quarter inch up.

I am very happy with this Cuisinart mixer. I researched several different brands and Precision Master™ 5.5-Quart Stand Mixer had more power and speed along with comparable attachments than other models. I have even use it with recipes that recommend hand mixing with great results. And it's beautiful! I selected the brushed chrome and it matches my kitchen perfectly. Very happy!

Thus far I am very pleased with it. This stand mixer was a replacement for a Sunbeam Mixmaster Stand Mixer that I had for at least 38 years. For a few years I did cake baking and decorating, which required a heavy duty mixer, When the Sunbeam finally stopped working, I knew I I would need another heavy duty mixer, especially since I started baking and decorating again. The reviews I read for the Cuisinart prompted me to make this particular purchase. So far I'm happy with the choice..

I like my mixer with a couple of reservations. Cuisinart really needs to pay attention and offer a scraper blade for this. I'm not sure that any mixer performs better, but creaming butter/sugar requires scraping the bowl more than I like. It would also be nice if an alternative sized bowl was offered. I have made breads and other things and haven't seen this mixer hiccup. It has plenty of power and handles dough and heavy batter well. The attachments are very easy to clean. It looks great on my counter and the convenience inspires me to bake more. When comparison shopping, the warranty, price and stronger motor swayed me over the competitor. I'm disappointed that it has plastic gears, but so has the competitor's model unless you move up in price (hence, my choice of the 3 year warranty vs. the 1). All in all, I'm pleased with the mixer, but Cuisinart, PLEASE offer a scraper blade.
