My only caution would be the speed adjustment. Not sure if it has metal or plastic gear. Little difference between speeds. 12 speeds is a lot. I basically use 1-2, 4-6, 10-12. Much quieter than kitchen aid. And easy to move. Love the tilt head.

In love with my mixer. It works perfectly, doesn’t take up too much room, not super heavy. Have used it a few times and it’s like having a second set of hands.

I received the 5.5 qt stand mixer for Christmas and really love it. This replaced my 3.5 qt Cuisinart stand mixer and I wanted it because of the great work my 3.5qt did for me. Since receiving it at Christmas the mixer has made pasta ( 2 times) from mixing the pasta dough to using the rollers and extruder that I purchased separately in no time flat. I have made several loaves of bread with it, some tough rustic bread, kneaded the dough with no problems. I wanted the Cuisinart because I have other Cuisinart products in my kitchen and love them. The warranty is also longer on it that other well known brands, which made me feel more confident. Highly reccomend this mixer from Cuisinart.

It is built better and has a more powerful motor than the equivalent Kitchenaid. Our old (15 years) Kitchenaid had great difficulty kneading bread dough. This cuisinart machine powers through the task without difficulty or smelling of overheating motor windings. Our old meat grinder from the Kitchenaid mixer fitted the new machine without a problem and worked fine. My only gripe is that the beater could be a fraction of an inch wider so it turned closer to the inside of the bowl.
