Did not last - other side failed within weeks

So disappointed in this version of the Cuisinart Toaster (having owned several over the years) Within the first 2-months, the other side stopped working - notcour fault, we handle this with care, as our last one, which was much more expensive and of much better quality, ended up having a huge dent in it!! But still works! This one is for our 2nd home! I hate waiting for Toast!! But I will not replace this one- not reliable!

The toaster works very well. I like that you can select the amount of "toastyness" prior to the bread being introduced to the toaster. The quick peek option is also very nice. I would purchase this product again.

The mechanics (automated functions) of this toaster works well. However toasting the slices of bread is another issue. Selecting the type of bread (white) and using the shade function(#5) one side of the bread is still white and the other side is burned (black). The bread selector was NOT on bagel. Just white bread. Other occasions, the bread has to be has to be toasted 3 rimes to get the selected shade of browning. Very poor roasting function. Toaster was returned to the vendor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
