EXPECTED MUCH BETTER FOR THE PRICE AND THE NAME

Kind of disappointed. LOVE the features. Unfortunately, the 1st one broke in about 2 months. It was replaced. (Great Warranty) But the replacement just doesn't work right. No matter what we set it on, it burns the toast. The 1st one didn't do that. Doesn't matter if it's toast or bagels or what at least one side burns. To spend that much money and have it be crappy is very disappointing.

Who knew making toast could be such fun?

This toaster has done a good job on everything we’ve tried so far. Frozen waffles don’t have cold spots. We like being able to select the kind of bread. We find that levels above 4 for most things leave white and wheat bread charred.

I love this toaster! Its completely motorized. The movement is very fluid and quiet. I was originally looking at the Breville model but this toaster does everything that the other one would have and at 1/3 the price! Its very well constructed. And it toasts perfectly after you learn how to use it. Its a bit of a learning curve for the right toasting shade depending on the thickness of the bread item but once you figure out how you like your toast, you can set it to memory. I highly recommend this toaster!

Love this toaster! Perfect toast, bagels, English Muffins. I especially like the pull/push lever for starting the toast cycle. My older toaster had push buttons on the top and you could accidentally start the toaster without knowing it and cause of fire. It's great looking and fairly priced.

Toaster has worked perfectly for the first few weeks and expect it to continue. The darkness settings are pretty accurate to give you an idea of how dark your toast will be, and, really like the quick peek option. It looks good with the clean-lines design and has been easy to keep clean if you avoid touching the stainless steel (but it easily wipes clean with a microfiber cloth kept close by). The crab trays are accessible in the back where they slide out without having to pick up the toaster which was inconvenient on my last toaster. It’s paired with a new Cuisinart coffeemaker and modern black canisters on my small kitchen counter for a coordinated and updated look.

This toaster was bought as a replacement for an older Cuisinart model. Disappointing. It is tinny and light weight compared to the older model. Should have kept the older one and put up with a long time to properly toast an English muffin. It has many toasting options but when I forget to change the type of bread, I don’t see any difference. Afraid with all the buttons, this will not last very long.
It was a very thoughtful gift. Otherwise, I would have returned it.

Good looking toaster, and on paper the motorized Cuisinart is a perfect substitution for a Breville motorized Smart Toaster at roughly half the price. In reality it's not remotely the same. First, the controls are a bit too fidgety. Nothing works better than a simple mechanical slider for darkness. Now that's smart! Still, the controls are not what I would call a dealbreaker. The dealbreaker is the bagel setting toasting on both sides, and burning the bottom regardless of which way the slices are oriented. Bagels probably make up a third of our toasting needs, so not having a properly working bagel setting simply won't due. Maybe our toaster had a problem, but other reviews suggest it wasn't just ours. I returned it and didn't chance another. I expected better from Cuisinart.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
