Smart toaster does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster does a nice job with different kinds of bread products. There are lots of choices in the settings, so it takes some time to get used to it. My only complaint is that some brands of bread have slices too big for the slots.

Quick Heating, quality to be determined...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have owned the toaster for a few weeks and one side is already malfunctioning. When pressing the toaster to toast the lever lowers and a timer is set, but the heating elements do not heat up. After unplugging and cleaning the slots it seems to work again, not what I would expect. The other issue I have experienced is that there is no option to raise levers to remove a shorter piece of bread. I am hoping that the electronics and mechanicals last a few years with everyday use.
One the positive side this does heat up fast when working. This was the factor that swayed me to the toaster over another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years I have found one brand that is consistent with quality and that brand is Cuisinart. I had purchased a Cuisinart toaster several years back. The browning is always even. The dial on the front had started to give me trouble though. It still works fine but is is so sensitive and is easily moved. That prompted the purchase of the motorized toaster. It's really a joy because there are no moving parts for the browning control. Every slice is consistent. The eight memories to store your favorite toasted item is also a plus. Now there is no micromanaging the browning control. Just pick a memory and it's done. This has caused a lot less stress at toasting time and more time to enjoy my coffee.

Well-made but can be tedious

The toaster has a wide array of functionality but that is a blessing and a curse. It is tedious to switch from one function/setting to another. It does look beautiful and is well-made. It toasts bread, waffles, and bagels well without burning, but can under-cook if not lowered twice.
I would recommend this to a friend!
