When I heard that dreaded shatter in our kitchen, I knew my husband shattered the carafe for our CHW-12. It was a housewarming gift from my parents when I moved into my first place 9 years ago. Tempted to replace the carafe itself, my husband persuaded me to buy this one. And HOLY MAGIC BEAN JUICE!!!!! The BEST tasting coffee I’ve ever made at home! This take up less space than the old one, makes less noise, and the added features to clean and care for it?! Let’s just say I’ll be keeping this for the next 10+ years!!! Absolutely loved my old Cuisinart - love her upgraded new model even more!!!

The older model was a little bulkier and the hot water side broke after about 5 years of use. So, this was a great, sleek upgrade that gave us just that little bit more of counter space, but with the same great features we needed. I personally love how you can take out the little tray that goes below the hot water spout. That helps clear up a lot of space.
Anyway, hope this model lasts with all the use it’s getting since we use it mostly to warm our baby’s bottles.

I love this coffee maker because it has the hot water feature. I use it regularly. I really like that the carafe was updated, from the previous version, as it does not dribble coffee when you pour it out.

Makes great coffee and keeps it hot. The hot water side is the correct temperature for making hot beverages, especially tea. This is my second cuisinart and my first one was great, I hope this one will perform as well.

I’ve used a Cuisinart coffee maker of some kind for many years. They’re reliable, the company honors their warranties and they brew great coffee. In recent years we switched to the model that includes the hot water side and it’s awesome.
I did prefer the previous design with more stainless steel color and wider with less depth but this new one sits neatly in the corner of our kitchen counter.
