Functional Highchair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love love love this high chair. I am currently using it with my daughter who just turned four recently. We are using it more as a barstool so she can eat with us on the kitchen counter and for her to feel like she is a big kid.
It feels good that the highchair provide her the feeling of independent. She can get up and down with little help. And I don’t have to worry that she might fall off it when she wiggles in her seat.
I removed the straps and the crotch post so it doesn’t even look like a high chair!! Very stylish!
Another bonus is the removable liner….easy to clean with toddler mess—from food to play dough.
I can’t wait to use it when the baby is here and grow with it!
Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to test this awesome high chair!

innovative and easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a previous live-in carer to 3 girls and now with 2 little ones of my own, I know my way around a highchair. While I do like this chair, will definitely continue to use it and thank the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending it to me to review, it is not without it's faults. The tray is super easy to attach and remove with one hand and the snap on tray liner is dishwasher safe making it one of the easiest to clean chairs I have ever used. Nothing is absorbent. Perfect. My 2.5 year old, who usually insists on sitting on a regular dining chair, happily sat in the 4moms chair when the tray and crotch post were removed and it was pushed right up to the table in toddler mode. It could be adjusted to the height he needed and no longer looked like a 'baby chair' as he put it. My 7 month old was safely strapped in with the 5 point harness and loved exploring his food on such a large tray. He did, however, appear to lean back when in the seat. He is able to sit upright unassisted and does not sit at that angle in other chairs. If he wanted to grab something from the very edge of the tray he had to use quite a bit of effort to sit up and lean forward to grab it. While it didn't seem to bother him it could be an issue for less confident sitters. Where this seat truly gets unique and for me, unfortunately, the feature I did not like, is the recline that enables it to be used with a newborn. While I think the concept is amazing and entirely useful to keep a newborn in eyesight and out of harms way (I'm looking at you and your aggressive toddler hugs Mr 2.5) the execution just wasn't quite there for me. The recline is slight. Definitely nowhere near the preferred lie flat position. When a friend brought her newborn over for a visit, we popped him in and were a little uncomfortable with the almost chin to chest angle he ended up in. However, despite that, I would still 100% recommend this chair. The newborn phase is extremely short and the ability of this chair to grow with your child for years to come is far more useful. It is a sleek, modern and sturdy chair. I never felt that it was going to tip over and it withstood more than a few electric ride-on car hits to the legs without an issue. That, along with it's easiness to clean, make it one of the best highchairs I've had the pleasure of using.

Easiest to clean not bulk sleek design
on October 28, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 4moms connect high chair through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was hopeful I would like this high chair but also wasn’t holding my breath, as we had been through about 5 others that did all had major inconveniences; hard to clean, tripped over the base constantly, was an eye sore, etc. To begin, I assembled the high chair completely within 10minutes. I hate reading instruction manuals, but the pictures made it very simple! So, I appreciated that. The design is very sleek and modern which is much appreciated as we are currently renovating our house and would like a nice looking hair chair as well! My favorite features are the grow with me, we have both a 2 year old and a 5 month old. My 2 year old had previously refused to sit in a high chair and had started refusing her booster, however, since the 4moms high chair looks like a chair, she has adapted to it well and uses it at the table without the tray and then uses the tray for craft time (again so easy to clean!). The reclined newborn setting is great for my 5 month old, she doesn’t have enough core strength to sit in an activity center or chair but she gets tired of being on the ground. She isn’t eating yet, but we put her in the reclined position to play for a change of pace. It is also a great position for drinking bottles for when she is able to hold the bottle herself! Changing between positions is so easy, it’s a simple button, so it doesn’t require tools or anything. EASY TO CLEAN! This is probably the number one frustration is that high chairs typically have hard to reach places where crumbs and sticky stuff aren’t able to be retrieved. 4moms high chair is SO EASY to clean! The smooth surfaces wipe right up! It is also easy to get your baby or toddler in the high chair because you can remove the tray with one hand, let’s be honest we’ve all wished for 4 hands when baby gear requires two hands. The only thing I would improve on is that the tall setting is still too short for our counter around our island. I do wish it was counter-height, but the lower setting works perfectly with our table. Lastly, I’m not constantly tripping over the base. I had found an easy to clean, not particularly stylish high chair that we were using, but everyone was constantly tripping over the base because it was so bulky. I would 10/10 recommend this high chair!! I wish I had another and may just have to purchase a second so both my kiddos can have their own.

Sturdy and stylish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start with, I liked the packaging. I didn't like that the sides of the box had to be folded down to get the legs of the highchair out, but everything was securely packaged and there was minimal plastic waste.
The assembly was simple and the instructions were easy to follow. It did require a screwdriver, so this is definitely not a travel high chair, but if it will permanently live in the dining room, that is not an issue.
I enjoyed the minimalist styling, the sturdiness of the chair, and the height, recline, and tray adjustment settings. We primarily used the seat in the Stage 2 level (no recline, but with crotch post and tray attached). It was nice to see the seat could be used for a wider range of ages than a normal high chair. I also really enjoyed the removable tray cover so I didn't have to wash the entire tray. While I appreciate that the tray is dishwasher safe, I needed to wash it far more frequently than I run my dishwasher, so that wasn't a feature I tried.
The footprint was a bit large for my small dining space, and wheels might be a nice option to make it easier to move around the dining room / kitchen. I appreciated the magnets for attaching the tray, but still had to fumble with it a bit to get it to line up properly. The one handed release is a really winning feature though!
The straps click together snugly and would be important for some kids, but I felt my child was secure enough with either the 3-point harness or just the crotch post and the tray, so it would be nice to be able to remove the straps more easily, or at least tuck them so my baby didn't have to sit on them. It appears a screwdriver is needed to remove the bottom strap. The button was also a little difficult to undo to release the straps. And this is probably a silly thing, but my 17 month old was fascinated with sticking her fingers into the slots for the top straps, so she was often distracted from eating by trying to get her tiny fingers in there.
One big issue I saw was that the crotch post is difficult to remove. I understand it needs to be secure, and it really wasn't that difficult to remove using a screwdriver, but the screwdriver gouged the plastic on the post during removal, so it’s not something I would want to try and do frequently for fear of damaging our seat. While the foam and seat a very easy to clean by just wiping them down, the foam is flexible and there is a definite possibility that food and crumbs would fall down between the foam and the seat. In order to lift the foam off for cleaning, the crotch post must be removed, and that’s far too much work just to thoroughly clean under the foam.
Another issue I found was that when I released the tray, it often made a rather loud sound which I think could be frightening to a smaller baby (and honestly made me jump once or twice), if that mechanism could be quieted a little bit, that would be an improvement.
The feature I would like most to be added would be a shelf underneath the chair to rest the tray on. My other high chair attaches to our dining chair so I can use the leg braces under the chair like a shelf to set the tray on (which almost always still has food on it) while I clean up my baby and remove her from the chair. Our dining table is often covered with dishes and food and there isn't another convenient place to set the tray. So it would be really nice if there was a small shelf built in underneath the seat to set the tray on. It could even have a magnet on it so the tray doesn't easily get kicked off and the leftover food spilled.
All in all, it's a nice high chair with solid styling and some great features, but there are some areas for improvement.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this high chair to test and review.

4moms High Chair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this high chair, we were pleasantly surprised by this chair! We have a four month old who can’t use many high chairs and join us at the table, but with this chair she can! It has a great harness to keep her safe in the chair and you can then recline the chair back for her. There are many great features we enjoy, such as the tray table that’s easy to attached and detach and the quick clean pad on the tray that makes cleaning a breeze! You can also adjust the heigh of the chair for various table heights which makes it very convenient. I’d say the style is minimalistic, which we like, but minimalistic doesn’t mean it lacks features! We really have enjoyed this high chair and look forward to how it can grow with our daughter!

Perfect High Chair for growing family
on October 28, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the 4moms Connect high chair. I used it for my 13 month old as a traditional high chair and my small 5 year old at the table without the tray. I even used the recline feature when I was giving my youngest her liquid medication. I really appreciated the one hand tray attach. It’s so easy to pull it off and put it back on. No need to try to get everything lined up and slid in the tray just pops back on! When you have a messy baby it’s really nice not to be fiddling with a complicated tray top. My favorite feature is the easy clean up. I was able to clean up spaghetti sauce and noodles with very minimal effort from the tray top and inside the chair. This highchair is perfect for a growing family, works for the baby and the toddlers. Easy to clean and is actually nice looking. Doesn’t stand out in the dining room! I received this high chair from Stellar Product Testing Panel but the opinions are my own.

Great Investment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This high chair was made in the USA with imported parts and parts from the US. It is innovative, modern, durable, well-made, and easy to clean. Assembly was quick and easy; less than five minutes. The removable tray allowed me to easily sit and remove my children, sometimes with one hand. Its durability and grow-with-me features allow the chair to perform double duty when feeding my 10-month old and/or my 2-year-old. It can also be used at the table without the tray by those with 5-year-olds. Food messes were super easy to clean without staining or damaging the tray. Other features include adjustable latches on the side and a seatbelt to secure infants and toddlers in place. The new grow-with-me high chair is a great investment that saves money and time. I was given this high chair to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.

Easy to Clean No Frills High Chair
on October 28, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This high chair is definitely no frills, which for us is a good thing. We used it in the 'baby' stage for our 19 month-old, and she honestly loved it. She seemed really comfortable and would reach to get into it, which was great (meaning, she was eager to sit in her seat). From a longevity standpoint, this high chair is smart in that it's got the grow-with-me stages/features, which means you get more bang for your buck, but I will say, based on my older child, she wouldn't want to sit in a high chair past age 3 (she was ready for a booster at the table by then), so I'm not sure how truly useful the 'toddler' stage ultimately is (depends on the child).
I'd say my favorite features of this product are the easy-to-remove tray top and that it's super wipe-able. Compared to another high chair we've used, these two features are similar. The other one wins out in terms of ease of removal of the tray top, although this was a close second, but this one definitely is superior from a cleaning/wipeability perspective (super easy to clean up). I also like d that the high chair overall is lightweight.
The tray attachment mechanism (magnets) are billed as super easy to use, but I actually thought it was a little bit on the clunky side...perhaps it was user error, but I didn't think it was as easy as it was shown to be. Sliding in and out would've worked just the same/been just as convenient. I also had a hard time with the design. I wanted to *love* it, but it stuck out a bit in my kitchen. It's really stark white (although the gray is a nice neutral), and the plastic looks like it's not the highest quality. From an aesthetics standpoint, it's not my favorite - for the price point, I'd hope it would be designed a little sleeker, or with higher-quality finishes.
It's a solid, no-frills high chair that my kiddo liked, so that's a win for sure. Big thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this high chair.
