Nice idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like the Canon Zoom Digital Monocular, but there is room for some much needed improvements. This Monocular will zoom in a great distance but the more you zoom in, your pictures becomes that much more distorted. If I use the zoom feature I find I have to pull it away from my eye and refocus again on the item I am wanting to take a picture of. I do love how compact and lightweight it is, small enough to fit in a purse or pocket without weighing you down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my upcoming Alaska bucket list trip. I was excited to open the box and feel how light the Monocular is and all of the things that came with it, including a 16g memory card. Well then, I started trying to set it up. Oh, how it stressed my little brain. I did not read the directions because I'm used to fun tech toys, but the menu is not easy or fun. Once I started getting to know it, I did find it interesting. I'm excited to take it on our cruise to take wildlife photos in the beautiful state of Alaska. I think the best part of it is how compact it is and can fit in my purse or pocket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a nice concept, but unfortunately it fell short for me. It is nice and compact, but the quality of the photos/videos were very grainy. I’m order to upload the photos and videos to my phone, it required an app that connects via Bluetooth. But, the Bluetooth would go in and out even with both devices in my hands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To take a lot of Easter and spring flowers.I take on my walks to take especially mature pictures.
I received this product for free a zoom from canon for a review.
Very nice looking, small for carrying around getting pictures.
I have been using it for close up pictures of sporting events You can get very close up pictures in detail. Very easy to use. Enjoying the facial features so close up on kids are priceless!

Its a bit complicated to set up, and get ready to take pictures, but once you do its really fun. I have used this to take picutres of birds while out hiking

Powerful Device

We received a free Canon Zoom Digital Monocular to review. We really like the compact side of the monocular. it fits into your pocket or purse. It also fits nicely in your hand. Set up was very straightforward and the monocular required charging before use. The menu button served up very clear menus and submenus. Two other buttons enable to you snap a photo or record a movie. The zoom is amazing and goes all the way up to 800x. At this magnification, it is hard to keep the subject centered. It would be great if some sort of image stabilization was added to the software. But this is a nit pick on an amazing device.

Interesting Product, limited use cases

I received a free sample of this product to review. While the product is interesting, I'm not sure how many use cases there are for such a device. While the zoom is impressive, my iPhone takes better pictures at normal distances, thus relegating this to maybe stadiums or bird watching type of activities. While it's a neat and fun product, not sure how much use I will actually get out of it... It was easy to setup and start using immediately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received this digital monoculture sample for free. I was able to use it on several occasions. The pictures and video recording is incredibly good. The size fits perfectly in my palm and in my pocket. Recommend for bird watchers and for that quick zoom shot.
