[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great lil tablet, does everything I need it to do, can listen to music, watch videos, and video chat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything is great with the Smart Tab M8 with Google Assistant, still working on setting up things I would like on it. Though less than a week after purchase the item was selling for less than what I paid for it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little tablet that I picked up for my son. It can play some games and surf the web and play movies and videos - all the stuff he needs to do. It does seem to have an issue with the micro SD card; stuff doesn't work with one inserted, such as the camera, and it's unusable to store anything. But other than that, I like the size and the charging stand. The price was right, too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the M8 after years of pressing specialized e-ink readers and large phones into the job of a general reader for work documents and e-books. It's a been an ideal solution. The display is remarkably fit for this purpose: the resolution and contrast are superior to that of my Cupertino-built "Retina display", and the OS controls for brightness, color temperature and warm/night mode make it possible to get a good view in any environment from bedtime to broad daylight. The CPU is more than capable of reader- and web-oriented tasks, and far superior in responsiveness to e-ink devices. My personal preference is for a matte display, which is easily accomplished with the right screen protector. Will certainly be replacing this with another Lenovo 8" when the life cycle is over.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because it seemed like a good deal. It seemed like it might be a good, pocket-sized tablet to carry around, for taking notes, and accessing how-to videos in my home gym or in my garage when doing car repairs. Lenovo seems to think though that all this tablet should do is sit on teh dock and listen to voice commands.
I was disappointed that there was no pen support, and also that there were so few accessories like protective cases, or screen protectors available in the market. Most 8-inch class tablets from other manufacturers are actually somewhat larger (8.4 inch, 8.7 inch), and accessories 'designed for Lenovo' focus on the larger M10 tablet, not the M8.
It took a LOT of internet sleuthing to find the accessories (case, Bluetooth keyboard to compensate for lack of pen support, screen protector) that I wanted, and even then, I had to accept some compromises along the way. Performance is decent, battery life is satisfactory. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with the 10-inch version to fulfill the role(s) I had in mind.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has a USB micro port not USB cC and the processor has a bit of a lag. But the docking station is a nice accessory and it performs okay for basic tasks. The 8 in size is nice for hauling around. For the price point it is a decent tablet.
