So Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new panel-ready dishwasher, but it was a little too deep for standard counters so we had to take the insulation off the back and reconfigure the water hose to the side so we could get it installed flush with the cabinetry. We also added a matching cabinetry toe kick on the bottom since I didn't like the black. We used magnetic tape on the back of the toe kick to secure in place and works well! I'm not sure why KitchenAid makes this dishwasher depth not compatible with standard cabinets- kind of strange.
But we made it fit and love the cleaning performance and it's so quiet I don't know it's running! But a light on the side lets you know!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does anyone know what is the black plastic part (like a vent) on the bottom right side of the front panel?

Very Quiet Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is so quiet you have difficulty determining if it’s on. Only issue is installing a wooden kick plate on the bottom given the plastic periscope that vents the hot air into the kitchen. You need to notch around the periscope, which should be explained in the instructions.

Didn’t even get one cycle out of it

Brand new dishwasher in our completely renovated home and we didn’t even get to wash a single fork. 7-2 error code the moment we plugged in which means wash motor failure. No parts coming anytime soon. Great quality Kitchenaid
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The racks of this dishwasher are not what I thought. Sadly my old kitchaid had a better lay out. It held more glasses and bowls and plates. The only feature I like on the interior is the third rack with the updated cutlery spaces. I wish the second rack had the fold down shelves like my old unit. They were very useful for small juice glasses and small bowls. My previous unit’s lower rack had three rows, this unit has numerous prongs but they are not spaced well and are not angled. Very hard to put large bowls and plates in together. The quietness of the motor is great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
