Been taking the capture system for granted...

I've had this on my G9 for the past couple of years. This morning I randomly thought "wait how am I able to drop this directly my manfroto tripod?" Totally forgot that PD made an adapter specifically for Manfrotto. The whole capture system is a game changer for me as I used to be restricted to a much smaller camera that could be put in a hip pouch when backpacking. I use OP tech for neck/wrist straps and their larger connectors will fit on this plate...

Overall the perfect plate for me

For me its the perfect plate! I got a light Arca-Swiss tripod for travelling and a Manfrotto 055X Pro3 back in my studio. The only thing which could be improved, it has to be very tight mounted in the Manfrotto tripod and its only 2-Way in the Capture so its not possible to store it at the belt without the Pad because the direction isnt downside.

Good but not Perfect - Read if you are buying this and use it with your PD tripod + Clip V3

If you been using Manfrotto RC2 head, you are excited that PD had designed this plate to work on both systems. However, if you have a PD tripod and the clip V3, this dual plate doesn't work with the PD tripod and it works only 2 sides with the clip (not all 4 sides of the plate can slide into the clip V3).
I hope they will fix the design the make it work soon.

Solved my "problem"

I've used a capture for about 2 years now and love its convenience for carrying my camera with a backpack. I've also got a Manfrotto BeFree tripod and the problem was the incompatible plates. The dual plate solved all my hassles. Thanks so much PD.

Quick release, until it isn't

The design of this product is very sleek and clever - allowing you easily to shift from the capture clip to a tripod. I am an adventure filmmaker who does a lot of hiking trips, biking touring, and out in nature. The only reason this is 4 stars is the fact that the nut below the plate does not have the self-screw ring i.e. you must use a hex or coin to tighten or unscrew. Anything that is not self-contained and relies on a piece of gear makes me concerned as someone that must depend on being able to get everything off/on easily.
