This clip is fantastic works perfectly well made and thought out design as all peak products are :) Ive only given it 4 stars as to make this absolutely perfect my only suggestion... it would be fantastic to have the plate screw with a little handle so it wouldn't require the hex tool all the time to loosen/tighten"

Dual Plate - The Best!

I own several of these Dual Plates. Absolutely the best solution for those who like the option to run both Arca Swiss and Manfrotto style setups. No need for the annoying issue of changing out plates just to change mount systems. Just jump back and forth between either with this piece of equipment. Example: The Dual Plate works perfect when I’m running my Vamguard Arca Swiss window mount and decide to jump out of the truck and set up my Manfrotto pan head set up on a tripod. The Dual Plate allows you to run your favorite option of mount without the added time of having to change out the plate. Great quality and great service! Thanks Peak Design!

Design Masterpiece

I was already interested in getting a Peak Design capture clip, but I was a little sad because I had just purchased a Manfrotto tripod with a pistol-grip quick adjust head. It was a pricey purchase, but I love it, and I couldn't imagine using an Arca Swiss style tripod head after putting all of that money down for the Manfrotto. Enter the Dual Plate: fully compatible with the same capture clip system, but works perfectly in a Manfrotto quick-release mount. This is beautifully designed, from the corner holes to mount PD strap anchors (which I use for both Clutch and Slide straps), to the seamless integration for both tripod and capture clip systems, this is a work of art.

Solved my "problem"
on February 7, 2020

I've used a capture for about 2 years now and love its convenience for carrying my camera with a backpack. I've also got a Manfrotto BeFree tripod and the problem was the incompatible plates. The dual plate solved all my hassles. Thanks so much PD.

One of the smartest little products possible

Someone at Peak one day was clearly fed up with the state of tripod plates and their anchoring system. I think a justification for the lack of a tool-less option to remove this is that why ever really take it off? When I'm carrying my camera its usually resting on my lower back, and that's only comfortable for me with the anchors on the right side and bottom of the camera. While their included small attachment for anchoring to the bottom should absolutely have a tool-less system, this allows me to not compromise on anything. It always on, and I can connect to any tripod while carrying my camera exactly how I want. This will not leave my camera unless I sell the camera, and then its going on the next one. Brilliant!

More like triple plate

I have a mix of tripods but they are all manfrotto except one; my travel tripod has an arca Swiss type plate- so it’s quite a pain to take off each plate and add the next one… or worse- forget the right plate on a vacation. Speaking of which, I just went on vacation and used this clip and it worked perfect for both types of tripods and even the peak quick clip I borrowed from my dual lens attachment. It was great to hike and know my camera was secure and also quickly available. Only downside is the cost, but you get what you pay for- so this might be the only tripod base plate I ever need.

A hobbyist opinion

Verified Purchase:Yes
I have the dual plate on my Fuji XT-4 and typically use it with my PD aluminum tripod. To be completely honest, I bought this plate because it "looked" better on my camera than the tiny plate that came with the PD tripod. My only gripe with this plate is the fact that it relies on an Allen key to adjust/remove. As a result, I find myself carrying Allen keys in my bag like Tic Tacs. It would be nice if future versions came with a D-ring hinged screw.

Love these plates! As someone who uses manfrotto tripods as well as the Peak Design tripod, these plates are perfect! I put these plates on all my cameras, throw a couple Peak Design anchors on them and they stay there forever.
