I have had an issue with the dual plate which does not mate securely first time, every time with my Manfrotto head. Bernie in the Peak Design team has been brilliant in trying to help, so PDs after sales in my view is faultless, but this leaves me with an issue which means that there are times when I get the reassuring "click" from my head locking lever, but the plate turns out not to be seated securely - this had led to some very near misses with expensive gear nearly coming away from the head. We have now tried 3 plates and the result is the same on all. My head works perfectly with the Manfrotto plate - safe as houses - so I feel that the design of the PD dual plate needs a little tweak. I stress that the PD team have been first class throughout and have referred the issue to their design team, but Manfrotto users, just take extra care or use a workaround and mount an arca plate on your RC2 plate for safety if this is an issue for you too. Loses a star for this issue. Otherwise, the clip system is a game changer for me.

Makes life so much easier!

I am a hobbyist photographer, previous professional portrait photographer. I've decided to take up landscape photography, so now I use my older heavy duty manfrotto tripod for landscape. When I first became aware of peak design cuff and strap, I thought they might not work with how often I switch to tripod mode. Ideally I wanted a neck/shoulder strap for portrait photography and a wrist cuff for security when I switch to landscape. Then I came across this dual plate in a youtube review. It works great with my tripod. Absolutely no problems.
I wish there was an easier option to take it off without the allen wrench. I have had a few times where I wanted to take the center post out of my tripod to get lower on a shot, but I can't because I would need to take out the plate and mount the camera directly to the screw on the bottom post which converts. Of course, this problem might be fixed with a newer tripod, I am just not ready to spend that cash. It would be easier and cheaper for this plate to have an easier mechanism to detach. This plate and the easy switch for the neck and cuff straps are basically the reason I switched from my black rapid strap. Going to tripod mode was too much of a pain with it. THANK you PD!

I bought this so that I did not have to keep replacing the quick release plate on my camera when switching between my capture and my Manfrotto tripod. This is so convenient! Love it.
