Handy as can be

I have this plate on my sony a7m3, I bought it in the first place because I can clip it on my 'capture camera clip'. I prefer Manfrotto head plates and it fits always. Never have to change to another - but that is more or less a joke, I don't like Arca Swiss, to slow to mount the camera on, in my humble opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quick release, until it isn't

The design of this product is very sleek and clever - allowing you easily to shift from the capture clip to a tripod. I am an adventure filmmaker who does a lot of hiking trips, biking touring, and out in nature. The only reason this is 4 stars is the fact that the nut below the plate does not have the self-screw ring i.e. you must use a hex or coin to tighten or unscrew. Anything that is not self-contained and relies on a piece of gear makes me concerned as someone that must depend on being able to get everything off/on easily. - My recommendation is that the next version would have a self-adjusting ring that may add a little height but increases resiliency.

Good but not Perfect - Read if you are buying this and use it with your PD tripod + Clip V3
on November 2, 2020

If you been using Manfrotto RC2 head, you are excited that PD had designed this plate to work on both systems. However, if you have a PD tripod and the clip V3, this dual plate doesn't work with the PD tripod and it works only 2 sides with the clip (not all 4 sides of the plate can slide into the clip V3). I hope they will fix the design the make it work soon.

Does Not Work with 234RC Head
on September 7, 2024

I bought this plate and a Manfrotto 234RC monopod head because Peak's compatibility sheet says that the dual plate works on this head. It doesn't. The plate only goes on the head with the camera lens facing to the side of the tripod head, which renders it totally useless because the head pivots forward. Peak's claim that the dual plate is compatible with this head is utter nonsense.
Now, I have to return the head and the dual plate and purchase a standard plate and an Arca-Swiss style head. Peak Designs' carelessness has just wasted a lot of my time.

Great but...

I would have given a five star if it is not for the screw that requires a hex tool to loosen/tighten it. another thing I face is it seems to be harder to insert into my capture v3 and harder to pull out, so that's another star gone. Overall a great product but not perfect yet.

Needs some tolerance tweaks

Works great in the Capture if it's on a shoulder strap. Can be tricky to locate in to the Manfrotto head - there's some movement before you can get it locked in the right place. Once it's locked in it seems to be ok.
