Great Quality Plate

I own a Sony camera, which I also use as a webcam for my job. I was in search of a solution that would allow for a quick connect feature to eliminate the need for constant disconnecting and reconnecting of the bottom plate and camera strap each time I wanted to use my camera. Fortunately, I found this little plate that solved my problem.

The purpose of this plate, as opposed to the standard Peak Design anchor mounts that come with the slide strap, is to allow mounting a camera or footed lens into an ARCA clamp without having to change mounts (from the ones included with the slide strap). The plate is indeed sized to fit an ARCA clamp, and has openings at all 4 corners.
Unfortunately, the positioning of these openings means the anchor strap is vulnerable to being compressed by the ARCA clamp. One must be very careful to avoid compressing and damaging the anchor strap. For the price, it should be better.

Good idea, but great care must be taken when placing the camera on the tripod using the plate to ensure that the cord from the connector does not get caught in the clamp. I'm sure there could have been a better design so that this would not happen.

Certainly one of the better camera gear purchases I've made. It fits perfectly on my mirrorless camera body and does not interfere with battery or card exchanges. Besides tripod mount, I use it with the shoulder clip, high quality device.
In addition, there customer service is awesome. I had questions and was able to talk to a live person who took care of all my concerns.
