Small but sturdy

At first when looking online I thought the plate may “clamp” down on the cord or get in the way of the anchor cord. After mounting it on both my Mirrorless camera as well as a 5lb 200-600 zoom lens, I’m happy to say the cord does not get pinched even when mounted on a tripod. The plates are very small so I intend to leave them on my gear permanently.
The purpose of this plate, as opposed to the standard Peak Design anchor mounts that come with the slide strap, is to allow mounting a camera or footed lens into an ARCA clamp without having to change mounts (from the ones included with the slide strap). The plate is indeed sized to fit an ARCA clamp, and has openings at all 4 corners.
Unfortunately, the positioning of these openings means the anchor strap is vulnerable to being compressed by the ARCA clamp. One must be very careful to avoid compressing and damaging the anchor strap. For the price, it should be better.
Good idea, but great care must be taken when placing the camera on the tripod using the plate to ensure that the cord from the connector does not get caught in the clamp. I'm sure there could have been a better design so that this would not happen.

Certainly one of the better camera gear purchases I've made. It fits perfectly on my mirrorless camera body and does not interfere with battery or card exchanges. Besides tripod mount, I use it with the shoulder clip, high quality device. In addition, there customer service is awesome. I had questions and was able to talk to a live person who took care of all my concerns.
