Best thing since sliced bread!

Several years ago I purchased the B-grip brand belt hanger. It was great, no more neck strap weight and cameral bouncing off the chest. But it was made of hard plastic, not flexible, and would be in the way when sitting, plus bruised the side of my thigh. Then I discovered PD's "clip". Threw away the plastic hanger and mounted the clip on my web belt. At first I liked, but being slightly mass-challenged at the waist/stomach it was a challenge to re-clip my camera on first or second attempt while on the go. I would have to stop walking, look down, and use both hands to locate, align and clip. Also, the torque of the camera/lense combo would slowly loosen the quick-release plate and require pulling out the hex-wrench to tighten.
With the Pro Pad "unholstering" and "holstering" my camera is a breeze, one-handed, without having to look down, without having to stop. It is now ingrained in muscle memory. Because the lens hangs vertical there is no longer torque on the mounting plate and my camera is always tripod ready!

Love how the pro pad distributes the weight over a belt or backpack strap. Especially great when dealing with extra heavy kit like the Canon 1D X and the 70-200mm f2.8L.

I couldn't reliably get the capture to work on my belt before I got the pro pad. Now? Flawless. Looking forward to trying it within my backpacking bag and an ultralight day pack I have with supper thin straps. I'm sure it'll work great

Great accessory for the capture clip

This is essential if you wear the capture clip on your belt. It makes it very comfortable to wear your camera there. I think it is a bit too expensive though.

Great addition for clip

Bought this as whilst having clip directly on my belt was convenient I wanted something that could spread the load that little bit more. The pro pad does just that. It is well made, has a firm but padded back and convenient to fold over belt and have clip available for top loading, rather than side loading. The inner loop is tight and gives feeling of security for the clip. Would recommend as an addition if looking for extra convenience for load balancing and for the clip itself.
