Lifesaver

I installed this with the Capture piece on my belt and proved absolutely essential for my trip!
Went to a 14 day town-skipping trip across Bali and Gili islands - this thing saved my hand, camera and bag multiple times as I could leave the camera installed on my belt while trying to move from boat to boat and walk in the jungles.
Absolutely recommended for any type of trips or even everyday use.

ProPad is a great product that does exactly as it is designed. I have new version 2 and it stabilizes my clip perfectly.

Much more comfortable

Much more comfortable using this with the capture. I will put this on my belt and the lens kit as a way to have quick access to switch lens. I'm shooting a lot with 24-70 and a 70-200 both big and heavy lens and this pad keep them comfortable to port around.

Pro Pad 2018 version

After purchasing the Capture V3, I knew there was something slightly missing from the way it attached to my bag. When raising my arm to take a picture, it would always be there sticking out and when my heavy Canon camera was on it, it would always bite into my shoulder as I walked. Pro Pad was the perfect solution though. Pro Pad makes the Capture so much more versatile and comfortable to wear. The added padding makes it perfect for backpack use, and it feels great hanging from a belt too. Great addition to the Capture V3.

Big Improvement
on January 28, 2019

A must-have to make the capture clip usable on the belt. This version performs monumentally better than the original (which I used virtually every day in the studio and on location. The original never held its form very well but the sewn materials never gave out. The new one appears to be manufactured with quite different materials. I'm hoping they will stand the test of time.

Great add-on to the amazng PD clip!

Using the PD clip on the trouser belt as my standard parking place for the D5300 since a couple of months. It tucks in nicely with the prime, but using the Sigma 17-50 created that oh so cumbersome bulk (and belt sag!).
Enter the ProPad and now all is good with the world!
It distributes the weight nicely and what I have now is a totally different level of freedom!
Waiting for the next great invention by the PD team (which hopefully turns out to be an awesomely workable strong waist belt for the DSLR!)

Stability

This pad is a game changer. I wear it with my pro attire clip on my backpack strap and the amount of stability it adds is crazy. I use a d810 and 24-70 f2.8 so it is a heavy rig and this pad basically has the camera totally stationary unless I'm running around. Highly recommend it for big dslr/lens sets

Necessity for me

If I'm bringing my camera, I'm bringing this on my hip. I use this more than I do the camera strap. Easy to just keep on the hip and less weight on my shoulders. I highly recommend to anyone.
