Works great

I use it with the Lens Kit, a 70-200mm 2.8 and a 24-70mm 2.8 but I've had my Tamron 150-600mm on there and it can handle it fine. I probably wouldn't want to walk around much with that sucker on my side, but if you need to change a lens fast for a shot or you're staying stationary where you're at, it would still work great. Walking around with a 70-200mm on there, no problem. Make sure to play with where it sits on the side of your body so that it's not hitting you while you walk.

Goes with me on every shoot, like my pair of underwear

I can tell you that the Pro Pad does as advertised, distributing the weight of the camera and allowing even quicker “installation” to my belt. The clip remains in place and all I have to do to install it, is lift the top flap of the pad and slip it behind my belt. Then, tighten the Clip. Easy. As much as I love the Peak Design strap, using the Clip and Pad is way more liberating, like when I take my COVID mask off. My hands are free, allowing me to direct clients and adjust my gear, whereas the camera on the strap can swing wildly in the way.
I will say, as a battery grip user, the weight of the camera plus lens (EOS R5 + Tamron 70-200 G2) tends to really lean into the Pad, bending it. I've been using it for over 18 months; it is slightly bent but seems to be holding its overall form. Now if Peak Design could design v4 of the Clip to accommodate battery grip bodies more comfortably, that would be awesome.

Verified Purchase:Yes
I have been looking for a product like this for a long time. I needed a way to carry one of my DSLRs conveniently while being able to have quick access. I took the Pro Pad with me on my recent trip to N. CA for landscape photography. I connected the Pro Pad to my belt and felt secure hanging my Sony A7RIV and my heavy 16-35 F2.8 lense at my side. I hiked several canyons in Big Sur and traversed rocks along the rocky coast getting the photos I was looking for. The Pro Pad worked perfectly giving me the confidence to use it on my future photo adventures.

Great With the Capture Clip

I purchased this in November 2021 to go with the Capture Clip V3. My intended use for this was with my walkabout camera, an Olympus OM-D E-M1 II, and the pairing of the Pro Pad and the Capture Clip works like a charm. It supports the camera well and does exactly what I hoped.

I had to buy the prod pad when I tried my new telephoto lense with the capture. And I was not disappointed! Before I had, it was simply too painful to carry my camera with the capture and with it, it's so much better! Definitely recommend it you have have heavy gear that you want to carry with the capture

Makes all the difference!

I’ve been using a Capture Clip for many months, but just recently decided to add a Pro Pad for even better carrying. This small device makes such a difference in carrying comfort and stability. When I’m out for short day photo hike, and all I need is my small waist pack and camera, the capture clip and PRO Pad combo puts my camera in the perfect spot, and the hang is much better than Capture Clip alone on a waist strap or belt. Sometimes the smallest piece of gear makes a huge difference!

Comfy belt pad

This Pro Pad allows me to use my Capture Clip in the correct position on my belt so I can quickly slide the camera on and off the clip which makes the whole experience a very comfortable one, especially on long shoots.
