GREAT WAY TO CARRY A CAMER

I had two of these plates before, but found with my tripod I needed one more. It's been changed since my original ones and I haven't used it enough to determine if that's good or bad, but my first impression is that it is great.

too awkward in operation

The anchor mount holds the camera and lens securely (just over 1 kg). Mounting and dismounting the camera just takes too long, however. When the mount is positioned just past my hip (so I can have access to my pocket) it really is not visible and I have to try again and again to secure the camera. When removing the camera I have to hunt for the release button and too much time is required. Using the pad makes the mount more visible, but then the release button is in an awkward place for right hand access. Honestly, a good strap is a lot quicker handling.
