Nice, but too stiff

I've being using this camera strap for awhile now with my Canon 1DX. Now that I've had sufficient time to use it I decided to share my thoughts of it. I originally bought this strap as I wanted a strong and secure strap. On the plus side this strap is very made very well. It is very easy to adjust and lock in the length. It's a very durable and secure strap. However, there is a trade off. Since this strap is made from seat belt material it is much too stiff, inflexible, and too wide and bulky. Being so wide and inflexible I never found it to be all that comfortable on my shoulder or around my neck. The most unfortunate aspect is that the strap always get in my way whenever I bring the camera up to my eye. I find this most annoying as it slows down taking action pictures. The quick mounting tabs are an interesting handy design. However in use the narrow cords twists and bind up. After a number of years of use this strap shows no wear and remains too stiff. However, I've replaced this strap for another one that can be secured comfortably to one's shoulder. It is very comfortable. It's sling design allows one to quickly bring the camera up to one's eye without the strap getting in the way and being a huge annoyance. I no longer would recommend this strap.

Got the grey narrower strap - very nice!
My only (big) gripe is that the strap is so stiff that if creates bulk by curving where attached to the camera. This could have been improved by adding a small sliding loop like on a belt to keep the strap "loop" as flat as possible. (Or a slighly softer strap.)

Would have given it 5 stars if my first one didn't ruin my shirt after it aged.

I love this strap and to prove that I have gotten a second one after the first one ruined a few shirts on the trip. I travel and hike with this strap and the capture and they are totally amazing. Comfortable and flexible the utility of the systems from peak design is a conversation I have people when a fellow photographer sees me on the trail 8-9 miles in with my Cannon R. The only reason I have reduced a star is when the sticky material on the black strap started to deteriorate(after 4 years of use and honestly abuse) it has left black marks on my shirt that I have never been able to get out. I have since replaced the strap wit the grey and I hope it won't have the same effect after owning this strap for years.

I bought my belt in 2018. Now the anti-slip coating is coming off and leaving stains on my clothes. I loved the belt, but now I'm very disappointed with it.

Well worth the $$$! After trying to find a better camera strap for my DSLR than the one that came with the camera, I stumbled upon the SLIDE via an article rating the top 10 camera straps in 2021. The SLIDE caught my eye and it was the best purchase I've made in recent weeks.

Purchased 6 months ago and has been flawless. I use this strap with my Sony Alpha 7IV. Durability, comfort, function and appearance are all deserving of 5 stars.

Excellent strap but wish it was a little longer
on September 27, 2018

I'm extremely pleased with the PD strap in most respects but I wish it was just a little longer as, being a tall person, I have to have it at it's full extension to use across my body and have my camera on the clip on my right waist. An extra couple of inches in its max length would make it just that bit better. The seat belt like buckles are strong and easy to use but I put a small square of cloth on the back of my camera when it's in my camera bag to stop the buckles scratching or marking my camera screen.
