Just what I needed
on February 5, 2021

With it being winter here and having to wear all sorts of layers it is nice to have a strong strap that doesn't add to the bulk around my neck. I anticipate that not having a wide strap around my sweaty neck in summer will also be helpful. Works great with my a6400 and 28-200mm lens.
(I also think it would benefit from something holding the 2 layers of straps together as a previous reviewer said. But it is only an issue when the strap isn't around my neck.)

I love peak designs products. We got leash a month ago for our Nikon Z6II. The strap that was given was horrible. We found peak design and love our product we have recommended to so many others!!

Exactly as advertised: simple, versatile, rugged. As a high school yearbook teacher, I need something that can quickly transition from photography and videography and to accommodate a gimbal or tripod. This leash is it.

X100V: done. Now for Ricoh GR to have one.
on March 19, 2021

Note that the loops of the Leash's terminal clips likely won't fit through the X100 strap lugs. Solution: use small stainless steel split rings through lugs, then loop the Leash's cord loops through the rings. Hint: if the Leash cord is wrapped TWICE around the split ring, you may like the aesthetics better. Plus, the split ring can almost never contact the camera body. The Leash cord acts as buffer. How to? After one wrap of the loop through ring, immediately do another, passing the hard Leash button through the loop. That will achieve a symmetrical wrap. The 2nd time you have the opportunity to finalize the button passing through the loop, do it. This makes the whole rigging more compact. You may like that.
Suggestion to Peak Design: specify the minimum size hole the Leash cord loop will pass through. My measurements indicate a 3.4mm diameter hole is the bare minimum. At that, pulling the Leash cord loop through with dental floss may be required.
Ricoh GR Digital (8.1MP, 2005) and Ricoh GR II (16MP): as above, small split rings work and are necessary (unless you have a different hack). Split ring specs (known to work on Ricoh GR Digital and X100V): ring OD: 11.6mm. Wire thickness: 0.8mm.
Another hack: with a tiny file, smooth the raw ends of the split rings' wire. This will reduce chafing on the Leash loops' cords. Such files are known as riffles to machinists. Wedge the split ring open with a whittled popsicle stick while filing sharp ends smooth.

Ricoh GR Digital: Why a Leash v3?
on March 19, 2021

While carrying, I'll keep the leash short; close to my body. Maybe inside my coat. The tiny GR hardly needs a neck strap. That said, I prefer hands-free at times. With optical finder attached: pocket carry is no longer so good.
Using the Ricoh GR Digital: (especially w/o optical viewfinder): it's nice to have a large radius of working movement. Therefore I'll lengthen the Leash for shooting. I've tried a fixed-length neck strap and it's too limiting.

I am in love with this thing. If you don't have one of these straps on your camera, I am sorry you living a sheltered life and risking your camera's life.

Very Good Design

I really like the design of the magnet. If the moment you don't have a camera, you can wear it as a bracelet. The design of filling auto protection is also great, so you don't have to worry about the camera breaking
