Perfect Strap for my Z6 and Native Lenses
on July 30, 2019
Posted by: Dan
I have a number of PD products. I have an XL Slide and the hand grip. I bought the leash because my slide seemed to be overkill for my Z6 99 % of the time.
The leash packs away in my bag without having to remove the strap. It is light and easy to use. I use it across my body and it stays in place.
My 24-70 f4S stays on my Z6 and the leash just works with that set up.
I do still use my XL Slide when I use my 70-200 f2.8 Tamron G2 or my 200-500 f5.6 Nikon. The added width spreads out the load and the ridges hold it in place.
All and all I love the Leash.

Flexibility of how you want to use it - neck, sling, shoulder or tether.

Ideal for my mirrorless Fujifilm system. Not bulky and with the anchor design it's easily detached from my camera and stored in my bag when I don't need it. I alternate between neck strap config and sling config depending if I'm walking around with my camera or shooting with it. Length is also easily adjustable which is one of the main features of the strap especially if you want the flexibility of wearing as neck strap or sling. I don't mind the black one but some others colors to choose from would be nice too.

I will never buy another type of camera strap

I loved my original peak design strap so much, I bought this one for my sony a6300 and it is so perfect. Quality is 100%.
I am a wedding photographer that likes to switch easily from having a strap to no strap, and quickly. I also love the look and the leather details.

Great for small cameras

I have a really bad GAS problem so I have a lot of camera bodies. Moving straps between cameras has been a real drag, so I finally invested in a PD Leash plus some extra anchors. This leash is fantastic for my mirrorless gear. I couldn't ask for anything better. It's especially nice running around with my Fuji X100F over my shoulder, cross-body. I keep it tight on the move, and then loosen for a quick opportunistic shot.
For heavier cameras, like my Leica M2 or medium format bodies, one of the wider straps would probably be a better choice.

This strap is really brilliant. It ticks all the boxes to carry my Leica Q around and use it anyway I want. Best strap I ever had in my 40+ years of carrying camera's around. You'll will not regret the purchase.

I love this strap for my Olympus micro 4/3 camera. Easy release for storage, long enough to wear cross body. Glad I purshased.

Well built strap

I used it on my A7iii and it fits right. There were concerns of 'looping' as suggested by a youtube video review but there was no problem for me. Overall I am happy with the Leash, but a thicker strap might be more comfortable albeit not as mobile.

Convenient

Got the Leash bc some customer was raving about it and I had seen the clips on many of the used equipment on CL. It's great to have in on but even better to be able to unclip when you don't want a strap. I get why photographers love these straps. Cheers!
