[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new security camera system, my oldest son and I installed these, and if you need help anytime of day or night just call the help line. No need to worry about the set up, they help 100 percent. I can see around my home clearly even at night, I am so at ease while going to work now. I have had this up for about month and everything working great and I do plan on investing in more night owl to surround my whole house. Well worth it. Wish I had done this yrs earlier.

I’m not sure how good or bad the system is, I’m unable to set up an account using the recommended app. I can put all of my info in, but the continue button does not do a thing. I can’t set up an account, and I can’t go forward. I guess Monday I’ll have to call at lunchtime

Video quality is great, very easy to set up, simple but useful interface. The motion detection is a little sensitive, even on 'low' setting, it will pick up folks across the street in their garage. Depending where you live, that could be a good thing. I would definitely buy this exact setup again

So far I love the new cameras. I upgraded from an older model. These are awesome so far. The newer app is more reliable as well. I wish there was a 6 camera view in the app as I bought a 6 camera system. I see 6 views and 2 dead cameras. Would love bigger thumbnails of 6 instead of 8.

I bought this item/kit, and the first one was DOA (no output signal yo the TV), the replacement one DID come fairly quickly but I was getting a weak output signal from it too as the TV would flash off and on, Customer Experience This booking page is currently unavailable. If you are the owner of this account, you can log in to find out more. but I used another hdmi cable and it seems OK for now. Overall, I like the pictures and the camera coverage. If it wasn’t for the first dvr being faulty, I would have given it 5 stars.

I defiantly would have passed on this set up all together. How can a company make a set of security cameras, with no audio recording available?? This is my second set of cameras with Night Owl, my first being a WiFi 1080p bundle and they worked so great! I am definitely not happy with these.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For a Wired System with Audio, you should look into our Wired NVRs. The description for this product indicated the cameras do not have 2-way audio.

Great System, Easy Setup and Install.

We purchased our system yesterday (02 Jun 2023). This is our third Night Owl system. First one took a beating from Hurricane Michael in 2018 and survived, with a loss of 2 out of 8 cameras, the DVR eventually died. Our second one the motherboard fried after we took a lightening hit 3 weeks ago, turned out our surge protector was no longer protecting, it was now a fancy extension cord. Not an Night Owl issue, so check your surge suppressors out regularly to prevent having your system damaged.
Now to the new system. Connected everything up, inside the house, and the system booted right up, did its firmware update, then walked me through the setup with screen prompts (Have a monitor hooked up to it). Had zero issues with the setup/install. Deleted the old phone app (Android) and installed the new app, it was easy to setup and within minutes the system was up and running, both on the phone and in the house.
A time saving surprise for us was our existing cameras were compatible, so leaving them, gave us spare cameras, which is awesome.
With any technology you're bound to have issues, no company has 100% issue free products. Also something that is running nonstop for years is bound to wear out eventually. That said ALL of our Night Owl products have been awesome, and worked right out of the box, on the rare occasion we needed customer support we've had no issues with them.
Over the years our Night Owl systems have caught people breaking into cars, accidents, vandalism, kids sneaking in and out. It has given us peace of mind, security, and safety. Can't ask for more, so maybe I'm bias, but I've loved ALL our Night Owl systems. I look forward to many years of continued peace of mind and security with our new system.
