It doesn’t work with all electronic equipment. Makes my fan sound much louder. It caused my treadmill’s fuse to blow. But it did power my computer monitor but not my hue lights. I believe it’s because it uses a modified sine wave and not a pure sine wave. I’m afraid to use it with other devices now. Wish I would have spent it on a pure sine wave power inverter.

Hello Scooter2,
Thank you for your review. The electrical requirements vary between items; it is important to know what the equipment requires. Here are a few important facts to keep in mind with this inverter.
1) This product outputs a modified sine wave (filtered). In a pure sine wave inverter, the polarity switches smoothly, with gentle curves. With a modified sine wave the polarity change is abrupt. This type of waveform is suitable for most AC loads, including linear and switching power supplies used in electronic equipment, transformers, and motors but there are some exceptions. 2) This is only a 300W inverter. To calculate what your equipment requires, have a look at the manual, plug, or tag. There should be the volt and amp rating. Multiply these figures to determine the number of Watts the product requires before attempting to use it with an inverter.

Using to power led screw in light bulbs in an outbuilding. Low cost 12 volt car inverters, milwaukee top off do the trick. Greenworks causes bulbs to pulse/flicker

I received this power inverter in a very timely fashion, however I'm a little disappointed. I wanted to know how long it would power a light during a power outage so I tested it. The light stayed lit for less than 1 hour on a fully charged battery. I have two batteries, so at most I will be able to light one lamp for a couple of hours.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the performance of this inverter. This unit is great for worksites, traveling, small electronics, small appliances and more. Actual time may vary depending on the age and condition of the battery, and the power demand being placed on it by the equipment being operated by the inverter. You can expect up to 30- 60 minutes. We would like to take a closer look at what you are experiencing if you are willing please contact us at 888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

Works well and as described the only reason it's not a 5 out of 5 for me I was kind of hoping it would have more wattage so I could run my angle grinder or similar corded tools please Greenworks make an 80 volt "generator".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought 3 tools and now have 4 batteries. It will be good to charge phones when I camping or when the lights go out.
