Modified sine wave won't work with many devices

I tired this on several items which draw less than 300 watts, but they would not work properly. My Starlink would not start (draws 100 watts), my Sony flatscreen TV just emitted a buzzing sound and my small hand drill would not start at all. It would power a 100 watt incandescent light, but that is about all I would trust this device for. I would be very nervous using this with any sensitive or expensive electronic device.

Hello NWWyo,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Sorry to hear of the experience you have had with this tool. This would ultimately depend on the power that is required from the device. To calculate the approximate run time in hours for a product, you have to divide the watt-hour rating of the battery that the inverter will be using (sold separately) by the number of watts that the product(fridge/LED lights) needs to run.
We would like to hear more of your experience to do so please email us at info@greeenworkstools.com; include your contact information and a brief description the problems you've been having.
We are here to provide you with support and have this look into further.

Does the job in a small package-modified sign wave inverter

I so far only own the lawn mower tool, more in the future. I have two batteries a 4 and a 2 and as 80v batteries they are pretty physically large. I got the inverter for power outages and to charge my phone in an outage, haven't needed it so far but knowing it's available is comforting. I wasn't thinking about powering my laptop or tablets but 300 watts will power my Asus Rog 14" gaming laptop and my samsung tablets easily. Best case scenario you want a pure sine wave inverter for a computer but when you're in the situation you use what you have at hand for sure. You may run into a few picky power supplies that will not work with it on very high draw, high spec gaming laptops all you can do is try it. People have also asked about items such as cpap medical equipment, it "should" also run those however those items are also electronic and have internal computers so I would run those items on this with caution as this is not a pure sign wave unit (using the original power supply for the item should help smooth out any irregularities in the AC being supplied).

Been waiting for this and would have been handy months ago. I have powerbanks with 3 prong inputs but they don't compare to this thing since it can output 300 watts. Lucky to get 100 watts from power banks. My scrawny power banks couldn't power my kids gaming laptops but this can, and have a lot of batteries so the fun can keep on going for a good amount of time. I've used this on a 55" TV and got 1hour of run out of it from a 2ah battery. I also trimmed some wood in my shed with a multitool so the doors would close better. Loved taking this out instead of the 100 foot extension cord that would get covered in snow. Easily charge 3 things at once. It is as close to a portable power outlet you can get.

I like being able to power 120VAC devices like fans, ozone generators, laptops, etc. off-grid in my RV using the expensive batteries I got for my other landscaping devices without having to run a generator or even have the 12V RV battery connected.
I do wish it had enough amps to handle other corded landscaping devices like my hedge trimmer and leaf blower. I kinda figured since the battery can handle my big mower and chainsaw that it could handle those other non-GW devices, but I was wrong (I shoulda just looked at the rated power draw for those things, but was lazy (and I really wanted this gadget anyway), so I didn't and was mildly disappointed). Still like it for emergency e-juice to run fans and charge portable electronics, though. Glad I bought it.

Lightweight, excellent functionality

The unit is actually lighter than expected, and the standard 2Ah battery fits almost flush (~ +2mm). The latch locks the battery in place once inserted, but the springs require a bit of force. I've tried 2Ah & 4Ah batteries without issue. The rubbery carry strap is flexible, and can be pushed inwards into the main cavity to minimize space.
There's just the one power button that stays lit green when on. The power button flashes in either green or red at various intervals to indicate any faults per the included manual (low power, overload, heat, etc.).
There's 1 120V socket (2 prong + ground) and 2 USB-A (the usual rectangle). All worked fine charging my Android phone. Excellent backup power source--especially if you have multiple GW batteries--for emergencies and travel!

I suffer from sleep apathy and I needed something to get me through power outages and overnight camping outings. This inverter is just the ticket - it is light weight, compact and easy to use. I already have several tools from Greenworks and extra batteries, so this purchase made sense to me. I can fit the inverter, 80 volt battery and charger in a small tool bag and have it ready when I need it.

Great power supply. I use this to power my astronomy equipment and when i need power in places there is not power. Works well and gives your batteries more versatility. I recently shared it with a friend who was waiting for the electrician to install outlets in her renovated office. It powered her computer and some other rhings for the day.
