Great when need a portable power source

I keep this in my car and use it for any 3 prong electric power needs that come up. Mostly with my laptop. It's great for taking out to work on the car as well. Perfect handy power source to keep with you at all times.

It doesn’t work with all electronic equipment. Makes my fan sound much louder. It caused my treadmill’s fuse to blow. But it did power my computer monitor but not my hue lights. I believe it’s because it uses a modified sine wave and not a pure sine wave. I’m afraid to use it with other devices now. Wish I would have spent it on a pure sine wave power inverter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1) This product outputs a modified sine wave (filtered). In a pure sine wave inverter, the polarity switches smoothly, with gentle curves. With a modified sine wave the polarity change is abrupt. This type of waveform is suitable for most AC loads, including linear and switching power supplies used in electronic equipment, transformers, and motors but there are some exceptions.
2) This is only a 300W inverter. To calculate what your equipment requires, have a look at the manual, plug, or tag. There should be the volt and amp rating. Multiply these figures to determine the number of Watts the product requires before attempting to use it with an inverter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this thing--very useful. Works on almost everything I tried it with (smart tv, router, 200W heater, Dash mini griddle and a small fan). Won't work on newer/digital controlled electric blankets however. :-(
Suggestion: Offer a PSW (pure sign wave) version that is slightly larger (400-500watts)...and you will sell a LOT more of these. :-)

Great versatile tool to add to your collection

I bought this to give us emergency power for short term power failures. It works great, and is always there when we need it. I also discovered I can use it in the attic when I need a portable outlet for power tools. I also use it during a power outage to power my c-pap machine to insure a good night's sleep. I also use in in the yard to power tools that I need.
