Battery life isn't as advertised

I bought this about 3 months ago and it has a great sound output. Especially the bass and stereo but on the downside the battery life isn't as advertised. On a full charge the Flip 6 cannot play music more than 5 hours.

Thanks for your feedback. The published battery life is up to 12 hours, but actual playtime depends on volume and source content. At background listening levels, you’ll get the maximum battery time, but as you increase volume or boost bass, playtime decreases—just like a phone battery drains faster with a brighter screen. Music with more bass also shortens battery life. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Try to charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, this likely means that the battery is losing its capacity. For further assistance, please contact us.

Stopped charging after 2 weeks

I got this for Christmas and it worked great at first. Now it won't charge or turn on. Not the quality I was expecting from JBL.

Please do a forced power cycle. First, make sure that your product is not connected to a power supply or charger. Next, hold down the power button for 30 seconds. If this does not resolve the problem, make sure that the electrical outlet is working and the power strip (if used) is turned on. Connections at both ends should be fully inserted and secure. Next, Try a different USB cable. Try a different USB charger, rated at least 2 amps. Try disconnecting the cable from your product and re-inserting it. Sand or dirt can get into the product’s charging port. Check the port. Clean if needed with compressed air or a toothpick. If these steps do not fix the problem, contact JBL Customer Service for technical support and assistance. https://bit.ly/2WocMfi

It's not fair for people getting the 'TL' version!

I have got my JBL FLIP6 sience it was released. I check the SN number on the speaker, and it's begin with 'TL'. I compared it to my friend's FLIP6, which is a 'GG' version, and the 'TL' version which is I have, have a harsh sound and the bass is just not there compared to the 'GG' version. I tried to use the EQ in the app, to reduce the treble and gain the bass, but nomatter how I manage to do it, it is still lacking of bass and too much of treble... Different version of sound cost same amount of money, and it's random that what will you get... This makes me feel down because it takes me a lot of effort to save the money to get a JBL speaker, and I want the same quality, not random!! Very admire JBL but this is not a good experience! Why to make different versions? And the most important SOUND QUALITY is different.. It is not fair.

Don't buy the customize option

This review is for the custom work. The sound quality is great. But I ordered an all black speaker with 3 words. The black is peeling so quick and so bad the words are no longer readable. I use to this speaker in my work truck, so if you plan on moving it around and there's a chance for peeling, don't get a cheap custom job. Just buy the all black or whatever colorway you like. Very disappointed with the quality of paint used.

JBL Got This One Right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little speaker packs a punch! I've got an older Flip 5 sitting on my desk and the Flip 6 blows it out of the water. The bass is noticeably punchier and it's loud! I've got a pretty large garage and it fills the area up with sound like no other. The party boost feature is great when hosting kickbacks and the battery life is very impressive. I've owned Bose, Harmon Kardon, Marshall, and UE brands and I can confidently say that JBL has the best products for your money. I'm a filthy consumerist who likes the latest toys and believe me, JBL got this one right.

The ultimate shower speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I primarily use this as a shower speaker. The strap is very useful. I have mine hanging from a towel hook. The battery life is pretty good as I have had this for almost a week and have not needed to recharge yet. Amazingly clear sound for such a compact package. Spoken word audio comes through crystal clear and there is minimal bass distortion in hard electronic music.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First class speaker. The Flip 6 sounds like a 16 inch speaker sound in a 6 inch speaker size. The battery life is excellent. The speaker looks beautiful. Every time a new speaker is released you think there isn't room for improvement but some how they always improve it. Bluetooth connectivity range is amazing. Light weight and easily portable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It’s small and portable with lots of sound ! If you want a decently priced speaker with great sound and great battery life this speaker is for you 100%
