Great sound, small size.

I took delivery of two Flip 6s a few days ago and am quite impressed with their performance, especially for their size. Whether paired for stereo music or using just one for podcasts or talk radio, they have a robust, balanced sound. They are also small enough that I plan to bring them along when travelling.
I've owned JBL speakers since 1986. The Flip 6 advances the tradition of quality and performance that I've enjoyed all these years.

I wear this bad boy on my belt as go through my routine the sound is on the money when i'm playing my jazz.
As I walk and folks can hear the music but they can't detect where the sound is coming from because my jacket rests over the speaker and it still sounds great.

Don't buy the customize option

This review is for the custom work. The sound quality is great. But I ordered an all black speaker with 3 words. The black is peeling so quick and so bad the words are no longer readable. I use to this speaker in my work truck, so if you plan on moving it around and there's a chance for peeling, don't get a cheap custom job. Just buy the all black or whatever colorway you like. Very disappointed with the quality of paint used.

JBL Flip 5 vs the flip 6

The sound quality is good but the battery life sucks the JBL flip 6 versus the flip 5 the flip 5 battery life last a lot longer than the flip 6 so I think the JBL flip 5 is better because of the battery life

Don't do custom

The custom paint is sticky and they use older version of the device, it does not look like it's picture, both model and custom design.

Poor bass

I bought the JBL flip 6 thinking it’d be at least equal in sound quality to the flip 5 but the bass is tingy and flat. Very disappointed that the company went down in quality since their last version.

Excellent JBL quality as usual

This is my second speaker from JBL and I am not disappointed with either of my purchases. The new speaker setup in the Flip 6 provides crisp and clear audio at any volume that can be fine tuned to your liking in the app. The build quality is very rugged and faced everything I put it through with ease. I have dropped my speakers on concrete, in water and on dirt and they have no visible cosmetic damages and no performance damages. The long battery life, usb c charging port and beautiful colours are also very beneficial to me personally.

Looks good

I got this flip a few weeks back and really not thay happy with it. Sound is good and the battery life is not good. I have it at work and it's not even 50% turned up. It won't even last my 8 hr shift. I have to have it plugged in all day. I would have never bought it if I knew it only lasted a few hrs. I do not have party mode turned on either. I guess I don't understand having a portable speaker that you have to keep plugged in. Seems like in today's times we would have products that the battery would last longer.

We're sorry to hear about what happened. The playtime hours of our JBL Charge 5 depend on the volume level and music content. If the speaker doesn't last the advertised playtime hours, which is 12 hours even at low to mid-volume, there's a problem with the battery of the speaker.
