Battery Life

I bought the Flip 6 in June. I was very excited as I have preciously owned 2 generations of the Clip which I love. JBL advertises 12 hours of battery life which I haven’t got yet. I average approximately 6 hours. I really love the sound quality and thought of syncing up to multiple Flips. We’re outside all day and the 12 hour battery life was a real selling point for me. If not for that, I would of given 5 stars for sure.

Great sound crappy battery life

Sounds AMAZING only issue I'm having is the battery life. It says 12 hrs of battery life. I'm lucky if I get 4 hours on a full charge. I charge it for the 2.5 hours like it says or I'll leave it on the charger overnight just to make sure it's fully charged. Still only get 4 hours of play time if I'm lucky!

Flip 6=flip essential

Honestly was kind of let down by the performance of this speaker. I had a JBL essential BT speaker and I can’t tell much sound difference. The Flip 6 does have noticeably more bass, but in loudness the essential i had previously owned for about 3 years were about the same. This is unfortunate because the flip 6 I just bought was more than twice as what I paid for the essential.

The JBL Flip 6 has an output power of 30W RMS, while the JBL Flip Essential has an output power of 16W RMS (2 x 8W RMS). The difference between their loudness is more noticeable at its maximum volume level. You can also adjust the sound enhancement settings of the JBL Flip 6 on the JBL Portable App, downloadable via Google Play Store and Apple App Store, to improve the loudness. After making these adjustments, we recommend trying different songs to see if there's any difference in loudness and bass performance. If you need more help, please contact our Customer Support for further assistance.

Great but don’t get custom!

This speaker is great! The sound and features are amazing. However the custom print is already chipping off. I thought that would have lasted much much longer.

Poor personalization whoever did it.

I bought my JB Flip6 3 weeks ago and had it personalized and I really like it, the only problem is that I have to return it and get a standard black one because as soon as I opened the box I noticed that the pink wrap was coming apart and I can't afford to get it personalized again they said which I don't see why because it was their designers fault and didn't do a good job which I'm upset because I think they should design me a brand new one instead of replacing it with a standard black one. I should have just gotten a Bose like the system in my car. Very upset customer..

Overall, the design came out very well, but my only complaint was it wasn’t as exactly how I laid it out like it wasn’t awful, but it was a little bit and a little bit crooked. But other than that, I’m pretty happy with my purchase, thank goodness the person that was gifted to isn’t a perfectionist like I am.

2 days in my hot tub... GOOD NEWS

I bought the Flip4 and have enjoyed it... but something HUGE happened and I have to share it. I get in the hot tub every morning and when I closed the lid I did not realize that I had not secured the JBL4 and 2 days later I found my Flip4 on the floor of my 105 degree hot tub.... I let it dry next to the fire place and this morning I turned it on ... IT WORKED... .Freaking AMAZING. I told myself that if it worked I would write a review - so here it is. VERY IMPRESSED!!

The product is as good as you would expect. The Image is painted on so it chips or rather flakes off but other then it's very cool 😎
