I bought this about 3 months ago. Speakers already are blown. At least thats what it sounds like. Sounded great at first now it sound like garbage. Ive been reading all these things about making sure other devices dont have bluetooth cone ted and all this stuff but inpaid good money for this to work and it is not working. Never will I ever buy Ny JBL device again!

Video syncing not so great with desktops

The sound is pretty good (I like that it allows you to adjust on the app) and the battery holds up really well. Videos, however, are a different story. Its works great on my phone but when I tried playing a video clip on my desktop, there's a second or two delay. Customer service kept telling me my computer needed to be updated but it's current with all updates and it's only five years old. It's not terribly noticeable and if I pause the video it syncs up, but then after a few seconds it starts to lag again. I'll still use it for listening though.

The bluetooth speaker has broken sound right from box. And unfortunately I haven't possibility to send back for refund, because I'm in Ukraine, and for next year can't arrive in US (just 1 year warranty on product)

quality worsened

had the flip 5 for many years and it was awesome, but it got stolen so i had to get a new one. the quality of the flip 6 is significantly worse. it doesn't hold battery and it makes a static noise every 45 seconds when playing music

Try to do a forced power cycle on your JBL Flip 6 by holding the power button for 30 seconds while it's not connected to a power supply or charger. You may also try using a different USB cable and chargers rated at least 2-amp. See if there's any sand or dirt in the speaker's charging port, then clean it with compressed air. We also recommend doing a factory reset with the speaker powered on, press and hold the Volume + and Play buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the unit turns off. 35 Foot Drop To Concrete

This is a well built speaker. I bought it because I work in the steel industry and can use it in the Crane when I'm working. I also am a Whitewater guide and wanted something waterproof to bring with me.
I was exiting the Crane after a twelve and a half hour night shift so my relief could take over. I grabbed on my gear and thought I had secured the speaker with a carabiner I have attached to it. When climbing up the stairs of the Crane cab the speaker slipped and fell about 35 feet onto the concrete ground and we have stacks of steel everywhere. I thought for sure it was toast.
After searching for it, I found where it had bounced to. The case had widened on the seem about 2 mm and there was a little dent in the side of the speaker. I snapped it back together and turned it on. The speaker still works LOL! CRAZY! Im guessing it's not water proof anymore but I am happy. Great product JBL, thank you.

The first flip 6 I order came defective, it turns off after 3 or 4 minutes., apparently the battery was bad , I call customer service and they really did a good job in helping me … that was one of the reason why I order a replacement, also the speaker sound is awesome I recommend it. The only thing I don't like is that it's made in China and apparently it seems they don't check the product well, that's why the previous one had problems with the battery that didn’t work and is not just me I have seen reviews from other customer with the same complaint. The replacement is working very well and I love the sound from that small speaker, honestly you won’t regret the sound it produces for the price ..Also the shipping was very fast …thanks
