Just unpacked it, turned it on, so far not too bad . . . first thing noted, and it has been an issue with the past/previous two machines purchased . . . weak casing. There are several soft spots in both case halves, this laptop as with the previous one has spots located close enough to a seam that when flexing occurs, the seam will open up and get stuck open. Also, soft spots located in an area that when you grasp the laptop, it executes un-wanted functions. Secondly, I do not have wi-fi service available, which makes it very difficult to set up this computer. I miss my early HP's, built like tanks, you could change batteries and keep working, easier to operate because they were not doing things you did not want them too, and you did not have to spend months deleting program functions you did not want, yet still maintain operations.
The Laptop is fast, Screen size is excellent. AMD processor exceeds my expectations. Lots of Memory and Storage offered, Lifetime Microsoft is a wonderful value. The interface with my HP printer works well. Highly recommend this Laptop. Excellent price and value.
I've only had the machine for a little over a week so this review is really just my first impressions. The machine looks great, it boots up in seconds and the screen (17.5") is large and the display is bright and clear. Setup was straightforward and only took a few minutes to complete. The laptop is fast and has plenty of memory to render web pages quickly.
I am loving this computer! So far, it's very user friendly. It isn't inundated with unnecessary apps, programs are easy to open/use, set up was a breeze, and overall our done everything I needed. I highly recommend this computer!
Very pleased with my new laptop HP 17. The sale price was well worth it, and I love a lot of the newest features that Windows 11 offers. The set up of the keyboard is easy to use and I have added a mouse for ease of searching, etc. I still have a few minor visual chinks to work out but overall is it great. I recommend this for anyone that doesn't want to break the bank with a new laptop purchase.
I love hp laptops. Had to replace my old one after I broke it.

I love my hp. Inexpensive and high quality. Super fast and great. I love the big screen for watching YouTube. At first I didn't like the keyboard setup but then I discovered the number pad, which also functions as direction keys. One thing I don't like about it is I sometimes press the right click on the mousepad instead of normal click which is annoying. I also don't like Microsoft Windows and setting it up is a huge pain. Otherwise it's great . Only froze on me once so far. Great laptop and good price..
This Laptop has such huge fan noise. Also I don't feel the computer is any faster than my old intel chip computer. The screen gets dark time to time without reasons. Some website does not properly displayed on this laptop monitor. I don't understand why there are so many issues. But the worst problem is the fan noise. It really bothers. I haven't had fan noise for years. I thought that was for the desk top computer in 90's.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
