Very disappointed that the "brine kit" no longer contains a brining bag! I have been using this product for many years so imagine my surprise when I opened the bag yesterday with a turkey ready to brine and I had nothing to do it in...shame on you Traeger!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Steven, thanks for flagging this. Contents can vary by season, if a brining bag isn’t listed on the box, it’s not included in that kit.
If you’re mid-prep, a food‑safe bucket, stock pot, or a heavy‑duty roasting/2.5‑gallon zip bag works well. Just keep the turkey fully submerged and cold. We know that bag was convenient, and your feedback helps shape future runs.

Kit states it has a reseable bag, don't confuse this with a bribe bag because it doesn't have one. The dry rub isn't enough for larger birds 18lb

For bigger birds, there are additional Traeger rubs and seasonings available that can be used alongside the kit to achieve full flavor coverage. If you would like recommendations, please contact us at 1 800 TRAEGER.

Pellet/Brine Kit Knocks it out of the Park!

My first smoked turkey. I used this kit and had excellent results! I started with a fresh, 12-pound turkey and followed all directions. (I didn’t use all the spice packet as it was intended for an 18 - 20 pound bird.)
Outstanding! I smoked for two hours at 275 degrees and roasted for one hour at 350 degrees due to the smaller bird. I checked with a thermometer probe for doneness and was getting a temperature of 265 degrees in the breast and 275 degrees in the leg. I probably over roasted it just a tad but the meat was tender and moist.
I’m so happy I went with this kit - and I may have enough pellets leftover to smoke another 12-pound turkey!
