The Turkey kit is the way to go. All in one package is easy and measured out. I go all the way and put garlic and butter under the skin, but the rub is a nice enhancement. The pellets add a great taste that is not overpowering. I will use the brine for spatchcock turkey and chicken at Christmas. Juiciest and most flavorful bird you’ll every taste.

The brine and seasoning are inside the pellet bag! My buddy didn’t realize that and made his own. The Traeger combination was incredible. The hardest part is the overnight refrigeration. I ended up using a big cooler but didn’t love how much water I had to add to cover the turkey and dilute the brine. But after that I took my 20 lb turkey out, seasoned it and added the butter under the skin and then plopped it on a turkey throne with frozen orange juice concentrate and bourbon in it and followed the temperature guidance. It took about 4.5-5 hours for the turkey to cook. Rested for 30 minutes and it was by the the best turkey we’ve ever had. The leftovers were even juicy and flavorful.

I order this kit every year for my turkey, add some bourbon and orange liquor as to it always turns out great! Family members say my turkey is always moist, compared to their inlaws. I never use the rub however not enough in the packet and I have a variety of other rubs I use often. Lately been using alot of Meat Church rubs.

I found the brine too salty. My traditional way of brining a turkey is 1 cup course kosher salt To 1 gallon of water.

Hello, and thanks for your review of the Turkey Rub and Brine Kit. Although this has easily become our bestselling limited edition pellets, and a holiday tradition for many families around the country, it may not be everyone’s favorite. However, if results are too strong, or you are particularly sensitive to salt, you can reduce the amount of brine mix in the solution for more subtle results, while still getting some of the other included seasoning flavors added to the meat.
