Worked out well, not sure I could tell a difference in these pellets versus what I normally use. Brine wasn't salty and easy enough to make. Used the recipe on the Traeger app for the citrus/herb spatchcock turkey (minus that brine). Chefs kiss!

The pellets added just the right amount of hickory, maple and rosemary. Wasn’t to sure about the rosemary because I don’t like a lot of it but it was perfect for the turkey

Found the “Best Smoked Turkey” recipe on the Traeger app, which called for Turkey Pellets, brine and rub included with the pellet purchase. All I can say is wow. We cooked 2 turkeys, since we had 25 guests. 1 in the Traeger and 1 cooked traditionally in the oven. Let’s just say all 25 went for the smoked turkey. I don’t think I can ever go back to oven roasting except for the fact that the stuffing does taste better cooking it in the oven roasted bird. This smoking recipe did not call for “stuffing” the bird, I did do a test run a few months prior with the stuffing in the bird which didn’t turn out as expected. The bird was undercooked and stuffing was “too Smokey”. That all being said, the flavor, juiciness, and texture of the bird using this recipe was phenomenal. I highly recommend. Also, the cooking times are pretty accurate. I cooked a 22lb bird.

First time trying this and definitely won’t be the last! The brine was simple to use and the flavor from the rub and pellets was exquisite! I wish the brine and rub packets were available separately as I didn’t use half of the pellets Highly recommended for your turkey.
