No Smoke

I have used the turkey blend several times before with outstanding results. This time the bbq kept perfect temperature but absolutely no smoke. Had to empty all the pellets and use apple pellets to finish the cook.

With our Traegers the smoke will be almost invisible but it is there as what happens is the smoke turns into thin waves of heat coming from your Traeger, however for the best smoke with your, Traeger try cooking at lower temperatures for longer time frames. Also, try placing your meat on the upper racks instead of the bottom rack as this helps provide your meat with the best smoke flavor. No Brine Bag

Disappointed there was not a brine bag. Like the brine and the pellets. Should put on your exterior package brine bag not included.

Moist and flavorful

So let me get this out of the way first. The only gripe I have is that the seasoning packet was not enough for the bird I was cooking. I just used the Traeger pork and poultry seasoning I had on hand so it worked great. I bought this kit around Thanksgiving 2023. Kept it for a lNew Year’s Day feast. This was my first time smoking a turkey and let me say it was the most flavorful and moist bird I have ever cooked. Will definitely be switching up my Thanksgiving day bird to this recipe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
