Thanksgiving was almost over before it started. The brine was fabulous and flavorful resulting in 10 out of 10 guests loved the flavor and juiciness of the turkey. However, the rub almost seemed flammable and I had to remove the Turkey from the Traeger 10 min in and rub off the burnt rub. We highly recommend using the brine and pellets but use the rub under a watchful eye and possibly risk the turkey.

Followed the directions on the brining (24 hours). There wasn’t enough Turkey rub in the kit, so I supplemented it with Traeger Chicken rub (12 hours). The results were absolutely excellent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding! I substituted with a dark rum & it went over really well at Thanksgiving. We plan on using it again. Internal temperature was ready at 2 hrs & 15 mins; with an outdoor temperature of 40°.

The whole process is easy to do and if you follow the directions you’ll have a lot of satisfied people sitting around your dinner table. I looked like I really knew how to cook after this and I really don’t. It turned out so good!!!

This kit was perfect with the exception of one thing--it didn't include a brining bag. Otherwise, it couldn't have been better or easier. Best turkey ever!!!!!
