Issue of disconnecting of the Internet still exist. 6E is non-existent. Can't even connect to it. Tried support several time and eventually got the run around. Gave up.

I really love the new system. It was exceptionally easy to start up and has worked flawlessly since I installed it. My only glitch was the network cable supplied was broken, but I fortunately had a new upgraded cable available. This was a minor, and inspection related problem that was disappointing to find in a high quality system.

This new mesh router system was very easy to setup and get going right out of the box. This system replaced a Ubiquity Amplifi mesh system in my 2100 sq ft house. On its own it is still a decent system but it does not perform anywhere near as well or have as much capability that 6E offers with the ET8. Additionally, I am very pleased with being able to have the ability to control things at a more granular level once again. The mobile app is well equipped and the UI is nicely done. Though I have not had the opportunity to fully dig into all the features, I do like knowing that I have a much better view of my security posture using AIProtection and very much like the Traffic Analyzer's ability to offer some good insight on all the devices I have connected on the network.
At one point I was messing around with something and wound up having to re-add the second AImesh router into the fold and could not do this wirelessly despite all of my efforts. This is also despite the fact that during the initial setup this was effortless - why? After a little research I found that I could re-integrate the second node ONLY by establishing a cabled back haul link after resetting it. Once that was done I could disconnect the hard link and proceed as normal. Annoyingly, the tip to do this did NOT come from any Asus online documentation or but other experiences from users that had gone through the same thing out on the web. For this, I have removed one star but other than that, it is performing very well so far.

Many of the reviews about the ET8 primarily focus on the internal home performance and the great management software. While I agree with the assessments concerning coverage, performance and usability, my focus is external to the home. I am a retiree and spend much of my time in my home’s perimeter. Compared to my previous routers (Apple Airport Extreme), I can travel an additional 30 ft before the signal starts to degrades. This is heaven on earth!!!
