I just upgraded my home network to this router (ASUS ZenWiFi ET8). My hope is for this to provide a stable platform with enough bandwidth to provide access points for a growing smart home, internet and streaming. So far so good. We are getting Gigabit speeds on the hardwired PC and close to gigabit on our phones. This is an improvement over the previous network mesh router we had, it seemed to be capped around 600MB. This is one of the only routers to support all the latest standards, so hopefully it will be good for a few years at least. Installation was easy as long as you have some basic understanding of networks. We gave the new router the same name and password as the previous one and all the smart home equipment moved to the new router with no problems. Right now, I believe this is the best home router you can buy.

I purchased the Zeb to replace a very old Asus router that was giving us problems with coverage in our home. We have a two story home with a lot of heat ducts, etc that blocked the wifi signals in parts of our home. I have been performing research as to a logical solution to our problem with coverage as well as future proof our home. I ordered the unit on one day and it was delivered the next. My only criticism of the ZenWiFi ET8 is with the instructions. I have built various electronic devices and computers over the years so I feel that I have a pretty good grasp of setting up a router. The instructions were very vague. I followed the instructions and the router came up to speed very quickly. The node was a different story. To make a long story short, I had to perform a hard reboot of the node. Within two minutes, the node connected and the system was ready. I moved the node unit to an upstairs location and the system was providing my home with great coverage. I have not found a dead spot yet. I have only had the unit for 2 to 3 days. Would I purchase it again? Absolutely. It is a great product.

I replaced my old AirPort Extreme at first with an ASUS CT8 but did not get the performance I thought I should get so I sent it back and purchased the ET 8 and what a difference. Great performance everywhere in the house. I think it is because of the dedicated 6 GHz backhaul because I did nothing special in the settings.

Was disappointed in the product. One node did not work even after trying to reset it several times. The instructions were minimal and not very helpful and the app was not very user friendly. Overall I was disappointed in the product and service based on the high price tag.

Performance is consistent with or better than expectations. Excellent app and easy installation although initially the app had difficulty finding either device. Using wired backhaul with slightly less than 1G ISP. Huge upgrade from my Mediacom modem/router combined with Netgear extenders.
