Fun to build

I noticed this at the Lego store and was I needed this. So glad I bought it one of the more fun Technic builds I've done. This build has made me want to look at more Technic builds since it's more like putting a puzzle together and learning what all goes into them

I purchased this set because I had run out of sets to build. I am not a huge motorcycle fan but I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be an extremely enjoyable build. Highly recommend.

Almost perfect

To begin with this was a fun build all together.. And as people said before, there are stickers and alot of them. However for me it was a non issue, I don´t mind putting them on. But then I never get a perfect result applying them, some always becomes misaligned. Anyway, back to the build. This set was not made for the beginner, but if you got the time and patient you might pull this off too. Interesting build with some nice features like the gearbox, to bad that the pistons are almost invisible after the bike is completed. So, almost perfect then?. There are some minus to this set. First, the instructions are sometimes vauge when it comes to place connectors and parts. A few times you really have to think where to put them. Here the instructions could be clearer and highlight the areas that are unclear. The radiator, brakepads and the fueltank are flimsy and quite often they get unstuck if you happen to touch them, or even if you adjust some of the parts close by. But these are all minor things, and it´s totally forgotten when you have the bike on display. For me it took about six to seven hours to complete over a three days build. But, it is all worth it. =)

One of the coolest I've built

Detailed, thorough, challenging build. One of my favorite technic sets. My only disappointment with the set is the amount of stickers required with the build. Wish lego would just print designs instead of requiring stickers.

Overall a fun build, but leaves much to be desired. The fork assembly is solid, but the attachment to the frame is flimsy and wobbles on the paddock stand. The other reviews warning about the gearbox are fully accurate…I’ll not be taking this apart again.
For the price and prestige of such a special motorcycle…I would have expected printed pieces instead of stickers. As such, the stickers are already peeling.
First Lego purchase in over 20 years. Exceptionally let down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Peer review:
Opposed to some other reviews, the gearbox and shifter works perfect for me and is not stiff. Most likely they’ve made an error while building.

Would’ve be nice if:
For the price.. to have some electronics built into this. IE: headlights & taillights had LEDs or if the motor was RC powered and can actually turn on to spin the rear wheel. Secondly it would be nice to have the brake and clutch levers flex & actually compress the brake pads rather than being stiff. If those modifications were made, this would have been beyonddddd amazing, a masterpiece level and beyond 5 stars all around.

Conclusion:
I wish the creators added the mods i provided above to make this next level amazing. However, I still love it for being stationary and lovely to look at as a sport bike enthusiast. When I saw this i had to get it.

Simply outstanding

This is the model and scale I was hoping the Ducati would be. Great detail and fun build. I was missing about half a dozen non essential parts but didn’t spoil the build as I worked around it. Great to see details such as discs and front mudguard. If I was to nit pick the rear wheel axle setup is a little flimsy and I though it was strange both wheels were the same width. Really though brilliant and I would purchase more motorcycles of this calibre in a heartbeat. Instructions were great although I had a dumb moment figuring out how the rear shock fit but I got there in the end. I took my time and spread this build over three days. Probably 7hrs total.
I would recommend this to a friend!
