So Tired of Poor Reviews for Missing Pieces

First and foremost, I think Lego does an excellent job with quality control and part distribution. In the 20 years I have been building many, many sets I have had only one part missing and some that were brittle. I think that is pretty remarkable all things considered. I would never give a product a poor review because of a missing part and accuse Lego of not having better QC. That is absolutely preposterous considering the review is on the product design, build, and value for the money. I would bet money that 90% of the missing parts are due to builder error or loss. Be fair and provide reviews on the product itself and not a missing piece. Just my two cents...
Amazing set by the way and I would highly recommend. Fun from the start to finish and the size is absolutely glorious.

Ridiculously fragile

I don't know exactly what you could call my build set. But I have been building legos most of my life and as an adult I have enjoyed being able to buy myself large sets. This is the only lego I have not had fun building. It is super fragile! Like do not breath wrong around it. It is extremely hard to put parts back on without knocking others off. If you enjoy complex builds maybe you will enjoy it. However, I found a lot of things to not be functional and just kind of meh? It is cool! But I would not recommend this lego unless you like conquering hard builds.

Rickety Cricket!!

Big, impressive but so fragile and rickety. You touch or move it and pieces start falling off. Many parts connected with one snap, especially in the head. The entire armor is just resting delicately by gravity with no security or stability. Again, big, impressive, but disappointing for its unexpected/unimpressive fragility.

A cool challenge, but some serious flaws

Like many other reviewers, I have been both happy and frustrated with this set. I was thrilled to see it released and all through the construction - up to the head - was impressed with the overall quality of the build. It was well thought-out, with lots of attention to detail and a robust framework to support such a large construction. But the head....I don't know where to begin. It is far, far too delicate for anyone to play with. This is not a child's toy. It's meant to simply sit on a shelf and be looked at, but not touched. Touching it causes pieces to fall off. Each side of the head are held in by two simple pins that don't even lock in - they just sit in, but are supposed to support the entire length of each side panel. There's nothing to apply pressure to, to try to hold elements together. That's a universal problem for the entire construction of the head element. The entire top and front/face is a single piece hinged at the back, and fortunately it has enough weight to hold it down. But trying to manipulate the side guns or turn the head results in pieces falling off. It's extremely frustrating and while I don't want to bash Lego, much more effort should have been put into the engineering of the head element. I still recommend it, but for adults and with all the caveats I list above.

LOVE this set!!!

The AT-AT is my favorite vehicle from the Star Wars franchise so I had to buy it. Thought the price was steep at first but after 25 hours of building and now displaying it, it was totally worth it. My favorite collectible in my case by far. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 on building experience is because the sticker sheet was missing. Lego Support was able to ship me a sheet free of cost and very quickly. Lego Support is too notch!!!

Exploding underside

While this is definitely a cool project, you will never, ever touch this once you get it together. Unless you glue about half the pieces on the underside together you will be building these pieces multiple times. You even breathe on it and you will be trying to find out what just fell off. This almost hit the wall more than once. I've never been more frustrated with a Lego model.
