A Technical Triumph, Lego has done it again!

I was urged to write this review after seeing so many negative ones. This is the best UCS Star Wars Lego set I’ve ever built. Had a really good friend buy this for my birthday, was a complete surprise, and we built it in a week while he was in town. The technic framework is nothing short of masterful, the interiors are literally inspired straight out of a Star Wars vehicle schematics book, not an ounce of wasted space. The thing is STURDY. I could push down hard on the top of it and push it on its sides and it wouldn’t fall. The Millennium Falcon is lackluster compared to the AT-AT. I thought the interiors were lazy, and I’d rather just have a solid ship than feature gimmicky attachable rooms as interiors. The AT-AT interiors are built into the frame itself making it way more authentic. I feel like it should go without saying, this set IS INTENDED FOR ADULTS. It IS a display model. If you’re expecting the legs to be controlled via remote, or all these play features, you’re going for the wrong set. I’m sure there’s more affordable sets you might enjoy more. Pick this set up before it’s discontinued, I almost missed out, glad my buddy got me one.

A 50 year old Christmas dream

I have hoped for a UCS AT AT for 17 years. Ever since I started collecting the UCS Star Wars collections. It was worth the wait. Fantastic design inside and out. People often ask if it's worth the money between a regular set and a UCS. See picture to see what a older non ucs set looks like compared to UCS!

I really liked the building process, and the final build was incredible to look at and to stand next to. My favourite part has to be that it is minifigure scaled and the leg mechanics are extremly intresting and fun!

A beautiful memory

This is a great build. Whoever designed the neck of this kit must have had a blast (stress) doing it (many iterations). It is a big kit ... and is it worth the money ?? of course it is. Most of the kit is balanced with cross bracing and it maintains a solid feel but there are spots where solidity is sacrificed to operability. My wife mentioned it is an expensive dust collector so my daughter suggested calling it "Dusty". Great addition to my man-shed. It really isn't a build for younglings. Great job Team Lego !

This is the first set of this size I attempted and as a huge star wars fan it's was amazing! Aesthetically I especially liked the artwork on not only the outside of the box, but also on the inside flaps and the separate inside boxes! Build wise, while I feel some of the steps could be a little more clear overall a fanatic experience. Definitely recommend!

When I found out this set was due to retire at the end of the year I knew I had to get my hands on it. I was not disappointed by this set at all. This is my second UCS set with the first being the most recent UCS X-wing. First off the packaging for this set is awesome. Loved when I opened the side panel it looks like you’re looking through the binoculars that the rebels are using to see the walkers and when you open it up further you see the walkers closer.
As for the build itself I really enjoyed it. As some people have mentioned there are repetitive parts of the build but that’s to be expected when you’re building the Walker. The 4 different boxes being divided up into different sections was also nice as it let me plan out this build better as you’re not going to complete it all in a day if you’re working full time.
The instructions made it clear and easy to build and as I completed a box I felt a sense of accomplishment as I finished the different portions.
My only complaint is that the panels on the sides and tops aren’t in secure but you can see why they did that as this set is primarily for display and not play.
Overall I would buy this set again and have been recording it to my friends
