Highly recommended

This set was bought and gifted to a friend for his birthday. He enjoyed it so much he had finished building it in one weekend! He even added lights into the set. He said it was extremely exhilarating and fun to build and was excited for all the minifigures that came with it. Would highly recommend to add to collection if you're a Star Wars fan

Stunning piece, but…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really do love the look of this set and The number of mini figs that come with it. However, be very careful picking it up underneath as directed as the bottom section falls off. The head and cannons are a little bit fragile as well. I said it’s a little bit expensive yes, but it looks incredible. I just wish it was a little bit sturdier.

Underside needs redesigned
on February 22, 2022

This was a fun build until it came to the point of lifting it up. The underside is poorly designed as the portion going in the direction of the head that heals on by for one peg and hook pieces won’t stay on. I decided to not put it on as it keeps aggravating me . It should just be flat that area rather than angles to avoid this as the other end stays on pretty well. Overall the design is amazing but the under side I’d give it 4/10.

If your set seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together. Feel free to reach out to us at bit.ly/3rVn8Te if that doesn't help!

Not worth the trouble

This is the first Lego set I've ever encountered that was designed with such poor structural integrity that building it was an absolute nightmare. It was hanging together by a thread until I moved it to its intended final display location, whereupon piece after piece kept falling off.
I'm very disappointed in the Lego designers for this one. There simply is no reason for the lack of structural integrity that permeates the entire product.

Amazing details, but flimsy
on January 11, 2022

The AT-AT is very similar to the recent Millenium Falcon and Star Destroyer UCS models. Amazing details, but the final assembly is so flimsy that it is hard to move or do anything other than simply have it on display at an easy to reach location.
The leg construction is actually fantastic. Despite the repetitiveness, which can't be avoided, this is probably the sturdiest part of the model, and even then, it's not the best. The smartest thing the designers put in were the little rubber wheels in the very bottom of the feet to prevent slippage.
The main complaint begins when putting the "shell" together. Basically, nothing is solid. The sides of the head are literally held together by two technic pieces that do not lock into anything, but are simply place holders. Any sudden movement, and they can come off. The main construction of the head has fallen apart on me three times while simply trying to get the pilots into their seat.
The three sections of the right/left shell are linked together with simple grabbers, and then hooked on to the main body with two technic, that again, do not lock in. The side door on the center section of the shell is the worst designed piece of LEGO I have ever seen. I get what it was trying to do, and the technique involved was interesting, but it is simply poorly done.
While I have enjoyed assembling this model, and it looks fantastic, I dare not move it beyond my house for display. If this were a LEGO IDEAS design, there is no way it would have passed muster. This is simply too flimsy a model for a true UCS model.
I recommend it only for those who "must have" this model. Do not try to play with it. Do not try to do anything but display it in your house. It will fall apart on you, and you will get frustrated. They tried to do too many cute and interesting things and it comes together poorly.

Clever and Unique Build!
on December 14, 2021

Lego have once again outdone themselves with the amount of detail and creative ideas at work. This thing is an engineering masterpiece with all the clever ways they make things like the head and legs articulate at such a large scale without falling apart. The build itself took me just over 12 hours, and it kept me entertained by always throwing in cool little design features/engineering tricks. Surprisingly, it never really got repetitive; even though you have to build four, virtually identical legs, they were technical enough and interesting enough to avoid the trap of boring repetition. Overall, if you have the money to drop on this build, I highly recommend it - fun, technical build and a cool showpiece!

LEGO Designers - Take note!
on December 17, 2021

This is the best Lego Star Wars set that I have owned (out of many dozens since 2003). It is exactly what we are looking for - minifig scale display sets with interiors and advanced building techniques. The build process was very entertaining and it's the first time, where I liked the technic process (i.e., legs, underbody, head) even more than creating the beautiful interior. Although the new Imperial lightning comes as stickers, they look great and I'm really looking forward to similar UCS sets like this in the future (e.g., Razor Crest, Juggernaut/Turbotank, Imperial Shuttle)

It’s awesome. Buy it. Is it overpriced? Probably. I regret nothing
