The most accurate and perfect UCS set ever?
on January 3, 2022

Perfect set. It’s huge, it’s built to scale, it has a full interior, it’s stable, it’s accurate and building it was a joyful experience.
Yes, it’s expensive but I felt like I got my money’s worth on this one. If you’re a Star Wars fan and choosing between this and the Star Destroyer, I recommend this set. The UCS AT-AT is the first set that gave me the same feeling I got when building the 2017 UCS Falcon.

Must Have

With my Millennium Falcon still boxed, I decided to build this one as soon as I got it. LEGO has really improved the packing of the large sets and mine arrived without a ding. Set is a must have for Star Wars collectors. I am thrilled LEGO did a minifigure scale model for this set. Build is smooth and lacks a repetitive feel. Scale is magnificent, extremely imposing. About 50 minifigures fit comfortably inside, making the scale really one of LEGOs best. Four minifigures in the cockpit alone make recreating scenes excellent. Only issues with the set are the four seats in the lower section by the pillars. These four corner seats are too tight to allow a minifigure to be seated. I was worried about missing pieces but ultimately only one large curved piece was missing from the entire set. One of the most challenging and fun sets I've put together. I really need to crack open that Falcon now, or perhaps get the Star Destroyer.

NOT DONE YET

Just finishing step 13 in box #2, and getting ready to start box 3. The build has gone well - except for one step: attaching the "belly" of the AT-AT. (First Picture) It kept falling out because the row of white angle pieces didn't stick up high enough to successfully engage the plate on the belly. I finally added some spare 1x6 plates across the opening and now it sticks up far enough so the assembly stays in place. I wasn't sure that the leg assembly would be strong enough to hold the body, but it is VERY stable. Attaching the body to the legs was tricky, but after a little squeezing, the pins went in. I've built some big kits, including the Titanic, the Millenium Falcon, the Venator-class Star Destroyer, and Hogwarts Castle. This kit was on par with those. Each had it's own challenges, but this one is going well so far. It would also GREATLY benefit from the 3D instructions on Lego Builder. Being able to turn and rotate the step really helps with placement and alignment of parts.

It makes us so happy to hear that our builders enjoying building the set by using The LEGO® Builder app! If you'd like a hand troubleshooting the belly part, feel free to give us a shout at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can help!

I have been waiting for this model for so long. It is a challenging build, but so much fun. The legs do get repetitive. It is HUGE and is a nice addition to my collection. This makes the 10th UC that I have put together, and it was the second more enjoyable one, outside of the Super Star Destroyer (10221)

Can't describe how pleased I am with this set. I've been waiting for a minifig scale AT-AT since Lego started making Star Wars sets over 20 years ago and this one does NOT disappoint! The detail and playability is awsome. The joint mechanism is genius. The designer did an amazing job!

Fun and technical build

This build was one of the more difficult UCS builds which made it so enjoyable because a good challenge will always have you coming back for more. The attention to detail in every aspect of this build from the feet to the body to the head were incredible. The only thing I would change about it would be adding a little more solidarity to the body panels so that when you move the completed model, pieces do not fall off so quickly. Overall, a total must have and an amazing addition to my collection.

An Excellent Build

To start out I have always wanted an AT-AT that was to scale and larger than the AT-AT that LEGO has made previously. The price was a bit daunting to me at first, so I looked over the reviews that people provided about the product. I finally made my decision to purchase this product and I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together. While the AT-AT seems like it is not sturdy when it is finished it is in fact quite sturdy. When I read the other reviews several of them complained about pieces falling off easily. I have had no such problem. The one thing I will say that is a small downside is that it is not the easiest to pick up and move. Keep up the great work LEGO.
