set was missing 20 plus pieces, bags were opended, and LEGO would not replace them because too many missing parts were requested.

Basically an AtAt

I ordered an At-At. It has four legs and it walks in the snow. It’s basically an At-At.

It’s all that!

Everything good is true. I think this could be the best yet? It’s all I’ve always hoped for in a set. Excellent build, crazy cool display piece/play-set, a complete accessibly detailed interior, nine relevant mini figs, and several awesome gifts with purchase. Gotta say, the mini-fig scale accuracy(or darn close) just sends this over the top for me. All UCS should be like this. The Ultimate Collector’s set.

Worst build ever!!!
on February 8, 2022

As some of the other comments have mentioned that the build quality and stability of this product were very poor. I have almost all the newer star wars collections, i have the millennium falcon UCS and star destroyer UCS and a handful of other builds and i have been building lego sets for 30 years! But this by far was the poorest executed set i have ever built. A lot of pieces were not secure and kept falling off. The legs were the worst design ever, i have the regular size AT-AT and i was able to bend the legs easily and it was stable. But due to the height of this build i wanted to bend all the legs so it can fit into my display case. I had to rotate the legs to about 85% of the way but they are so flimsy that the body kept toppling over it and causing a lot of pieces to break and fall apart. I couldnt find the perfect angle to have the legs bent enough that it will fit inside my display case and also having the AT-AT standing upwards (my display case is pretty big as it have about 10" of space left on top of the Star Destroyer UCS to the top of the case). I now have to leave the AT-AT on its side with all its side panels exposed because i am scared the weight of it would break off more pieces. Oh there are a bunch of connections under the body and between the legs that would fall just by you touching it lightly. I definitely would not recommend this product to anyone. Also this set does not justify the price, it just isnt worth it. I wish i could return this whole set back to lego for a refund or a store credit.

Received today but wife says have to wait for Xmas
on November 29, 2021

My AT-AT arrived today (yeah!) but as this is a Christmas present from my wife, she says I have to wait until Christmas day to open (boo!) Her "rationale" is that since I already received and built the LEGO "Titanic" (which is completely and totally awesome by the way...), I can wait a few weeks to dig in to the AT-AT. She also made some comment about using the next three weeks to get things done around the house rather than working on LEGO every night. She may have a point (ha!) but the next three weeks are going to take forever! I feel...well...I feel just like a kid at Christmas!
Speaking of feeling like a kid, I've rediscovered LEGO this past year, having built probably 30 sets. In the process, I've rediscovered my childhood. Thank you, LEGO, for that amazing gift.

Fun Build but VERY FRAGILE
on May 4, 2023

Got as a Christmas present. Had a great time building until the body got so top heavy. Trying to move the project caused several pieces to fall off and the legs kept moving. the project is seriously top heavy and when I moved it on completion I did not have the legs exactly correct and it toppled over and exploded. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED

Great addition to the collection, but....

Like all the other Collector Star Wars models, the AT-AT has a lot of excellent subtle details including the Empire’s logo on the tool to adjust the leg joints, small doors and access panels, and all points of articulation. This model is very sturdy, and feels more solid especially compared to the relatively delicate Millennium Falcon.
Normally, these Ultimate Collector Series come with one large and amazing spiral bound instruction book with , but the AT-AT comes with four small instruction booklets which feels far less impressive and like a pretty big downgrade.
And something that has never happened in any of my previous Lego models, I was missing a pretty large and important piece. In one of the bags, there was an extra round gear-type piece and a missing large plate piece. Unfortunately this prevented me from progressing any further with the build, and even more unfortunately, the pick a part bricks were all listed as out of stock and the delivery estimate was MONTHS out. Normally, one of the biggest draws is the precision of the design and accuracy of the part selection which makes this issue seem so much more impactful. In addition to the less impressive instruction books, it seems like the Ultimate Collector Series is just getting less ultimate, especially for the price.

Terrible stability
on August 14, 2022

This set is great to look at but is the worst set I have ever assembled. Extremely fragile and has minimal stability. It is more frustration than enjoyable. At the end of the day it truly felt like a waste of money to purchase this as the joy is quickly overshadowed by the frustration of pieces falling off all the time and the inherent sag the model possess. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
