Genuinely one of the best things I've ever bought!

The pictures above don't do this masterpiece justice. It is a behemoth of a build and I am LOVING every second building it. Definitely one of the coolest things I've ever purchased. I'm watching all the Star Wars movies while building it based on suggestion from Lego Director. Great idea! Watched 4, 5, 6, 1, and 2 and I'm only half way done! :D

Very flimsy

This set was very difficult to put together and not in a good way. This model is not engineered very well and falls apart very easily. I was so looking forward to building this AT AT walker as it looks really cool but I wasn't even able to finish it due to it falling apart in my hands and giving up when it came time to putting the lower half of the legs onto the rest of the body.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Imposing but fragile

No doubt it's a mighty imposing set. It was also interesting to build - particularly the interior, which we don't see in Episode V, where these debuted in the Battle of Hoth.
However, the legs are incredibly fragile. The worm gear mechanism for adjusting the legs needs to be more robust - or just eliminate the adjustment feature. I'm considering how I can modify it to be stronger, without altering the external appearance.
And like all LEGO SW sets, you're paying a premium to Disney for the license. This set is $200 more than the Titanic, and yet the Titanic is a far larger and more detailed set.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was an epic build. Takes awhile but well worth it. Loved every minute of it and it's now the centerpiece of my collection. If you are able to get it, it's well worth it.

It was a great build. I had a ball. It looks amazing. You cannot play with it, parts fall off. The fit of the panels for the top is somewhat lacking. They stay on, but they just lay there. All in all, good buy.
