Never seen so many missing pieces in a Lego set. Have had to request replacement parts three separate times and I am not even half way done with the build. What a shame Lego

The pictures don't do it justice

Here are some thoughts about the set. While I wouldn't call myself a hardcore Lego collector, I am a big Star Wars fan. The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the movies and the AT-AT / battle of Hoth is my favorite part of the film. When I saw this was available I knew I needed it on display at home despite the heavy price tag. I have no urge to purchase other large sets like the Star Destroyer or Millennium Falcon but this was a must have for me.
Eventually decided to pull the trigger and brought it home. Took me several days to build... overall I would say 16 hours more or less. The build was very enjoyable and engaging with the packaging split into four boxes consisting of several numbered bags. Each bag took me around an hour. The instruction manuals even included how the LEGO engineers designed the set and facts about the walker.
Looking at the final product was very satisfying and rewarding. The detail is incredible and towers above my other LEGO sets. Overall it does not take up much space as it is TALL rather than wide or long.
The AT-AT is stable due to its large feet and sturdy legs, which must be posed by twisting the gears in the legs using a built device. The head can also be turned using a lever near the neck.
Overall I would highly recommend this to advanced Lego builders rather than children, as is to be expected.
Pros: -Enormous, without requiring too much space.

This set is great! Took 11 hours to build. The build was a build hard, especially the technic portions. Overall it was fun and a great experience!

Missing pieces

I paid a lot of money and waited patiently for this set, when it finally arrived I didn’t even make it through the first box before I noticed a piece was missing. I’ve ordered a replacement but now I have to wait 7-10 business days for my piece to come in. I personally believe if you are sending a replacement piece that was not included you should send it priority. I’m nervous to keep going because I’m worried I will keep finding that pieces were not included in my set and I will constantly be stopping my build to wait for Lego to correct the mistake

Missing Parts

I love this set and the UCS Millennium Falcon I got as well. My only issue is that with both sets, a part or two was missing. On the Falcon it was a part on the outside so it wan't a big deal. The part on the At-At however, is impossible to get at once the legs are attached to the transport. It came with a piece that was two studs longer than the one required. So now I have to wait over a week for the part to be sent out so I can continue to build it.

Good Model, Bad Bricks

The design is beautiful but Lego please bring back the quality control you used to have. The clutch power of bricks is really poor lately, specially on sets I buy on release date (rushed out?). This set relies too much on clutch power of bricks and every time I point at it things fall apart. Then when you try to fix it things just keep crumbling and you'll spend a hour to fix things. I don't even dare to show the inside to people because its just embarrassing. And I don't mean moving it around or pick it up, just opening the side door will cause this. or removing a panel carefully. Specially after you haven't touched it for a while. Also there was such color difference in some bricks inside the feet I thought they were two different colors of grey when I sorted them and thought I was missing bricks while building. I was so excited with the set I tried to overlook it. But now I own it a while things seem to get worse and I really feel I should have returned it when I still could. I love looking at it but I can't really be happy with it sorry.
