This set is absolutely incredible, I had a very fun time building this set, although it is a little pricy I would %100 recommend this

Most Frustrating Build Ever

I have built hundreds of Lego sets and am a collector and displayer. I can say, with absolute certainty, this is by far the most frustrating Lego set I have ever built. The way to pieces connect at really structurally important areas is so flimsy I think the thing falls apart just looking at it. At one point, trying to get the front to stay on, I had to just leave it and build other sets for awhile. I came back to it and now the motor in the back has fallen out, the roof doesn't close, and the back door near the license plate is loose. It is horrible! This set should never have been produced in this way. I think the quality control at Lego really missed the mark on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Disappointed

I had every problem mentioned by previous reviewers. I hope that Lego reads the reviews and starts a refund program for those of us who are disenchanted with the T2 Camper. Every time I try to repair one section, another part falls away, this is no way to enjoy Lego.

Disappointing

This was such a disappointing build. Like so many others have mentioned, parts simply didn’t fit together and it was incredible fragile. I had the same problem people mentioned with the gap in the roof. There were many points I had to remove pieces entirely because of inaccurate sizing and fit. Don’t even get my started on the door.
I feel like the major flaws were the order of the directions. Often, I was trying to put a piece in that should have been in the instructions 20 pages prior. That would have made it easier and less fragile. I literally broke down in tears around bag six because the same part kept falling. That’s even more frustrating because I normally get sets for fun and as a stress reliever and this set was stress.
The replies from Lego are off base- you literally can’t push things any tighter in certain places. I rebuilt certain parts 3+ times and still, nothing. I’m not quite done with it and I’m not sure I’ll finish because it’s been so frustrating.
Looks like Lego traded in the nice appearance for a quality product and building experience. If I could return this and get a refund, I would.

Very Fun, but delicate build!

I very much enjoyed building this set, but do have to agree with the reviews that mention its fragility. There are very delicate sections in this build that require some patience and finesse. Fortunately, I did not experience the frustration that others have mentioned, rather, I shifted my approach early on to remain cognizant of the more delicate areas, and how to avoid disaster. All in all, I feel that this set bolstered my patience and skill as a LEGO builder, and I am happy with the end result.
I would recommend this to a friend!

READ THIS: Don't be afraid of the fragile comments

I've put together every creator expert vehicle, and Technic vehicles - just love the cars, from the original VW van to this one. But I was so nervous after reading the reviews that this one was going to suck. I actually thought it was a really fun build and looks great! There was one point - putting the rear cargo door (not engine) on that I actually removed the posts, put them in first, then attached the door to the posts, I think that's how Lego should have written the instructions. Other than that, I put the top white roof on the front windshield off of the VW, then put that all as one piece on the front end. Rest was no issue. I don't think it's too fragile and I like the incorporation of Technic type pieces into these car builds for functionality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I gave up!!

This is by far the worse Lego set out of the 100-150 I have ever built - Bag 9 is impossible as nothing fits correctly - The front end will not fit correctly after a dozen rebuilds - engine falls out - impossible to attach front bumper etc. etc.
Rather than being a relaxing stress reliever which is why I build Lego sets this one has frustrated me so much that I have put it aside and will probably never finish it - I feel that ego should provide a refund in VIP points for this build!

Fragile and Falling Apart

This is SoClose to being really fun, but it’s just so fragile and falls apart with just a little touch and I keep having to rebuild it. It’s SO frustrating!
We had a VW camper when I was a child, so I enjoy the nostalgia of this set, but that’s the only positive I can say.
